You unlock a character’s special quest when you complete the event’s story while it’s currently running (Desert Journey in this case) and have any rarity of the character (3/4/5 star/variant).

So you are telling me that i downloaded the game at 0:30 o'clock, played the game for 22 hour straight legit no sleep just grinding to get my team strong enough so i could finish this story and i didnt got this ending??? I consider my run to be the worst ending so ofc i have to replay it somehow who knows what scenes i've been missing on.
