In this video the Xmaxx running the Proline Pro Loc wheels breaks a steering block. I HIGHLY recommend if you are running these wheels to upgrade the rear bearing carriers, steering blocks and casters to aluminum. These wheels are much heavier than the stock ones, they also have a harder rubber compound. Basically they greatly shorten the life span of those stock plastic parts. I do not know how well upgraded plastic parts will hold up since I went straight to aluminium upgrades.
I also recommend using RPM threaded hinge pins as well. The stock pins will come out after almost every landing with these wheels. I have listed the several options below:

That was fun! The spot is just perfect. I have not done the aluminum front hubs on the X-maxx. Completely going to jinx it...but they are literally the same ones from the factory....never broke one....

Awww.... you definitely jinxed yourself now... 😮 Especially with that motor upgrade...😟 Seriously tho, I'm super surprised you haven't had any issues running those Pro locks on stock carriers. LOTS of people have issues with them. They usually just put stock wheels back on. I can't do that, I like the proline's performance much better. So I found a way to make them work without causing other issues. If you've already spent the money on them why not spend a bit more instead of tossing them aside is how I feel about it.

✌🏻😎🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿Looked fun guys. If it’s a front wheel & as long as you keep the throttle in, a 3 wheeled Xmax will drive back fine as long as it’s reasonably flat without rocks or long grass. The front lifts up. Did you have a sun shade/hood for your screen. Also try some polarised sun glasses. People use them for fishing to take glare off water. Try them on your phone screen. Black or Dark clothes will help to not see yourself in the reflection too but then you get hot really fast in sunlight. Put the sun behind you and create a shadow/shade with your body to view the screen. Or use a dark umbrella or set up a dark colour tarp/gazebo 👍🏻. Also I could hear kev for a second too but I didn’t see his Xmax 😂.

Sun was almost directly over head, no hiding from it. Only shade was a few inches beside my car. I really need to get a very wide brimmed hat... 😀 Yea, he could have kept going with the Xmaxx but he didn't want to cause more damage... aka... $$$... to repair. You heard Kev as well?? I thought it was just me. Similar looking Xmaxx tho... 🤣🤣🤣 Meh, hope he can take a joke, he never responds to me anyways. 😀

Killer bash the steering link I have been putting small o-rings on that inside steering link mount point and it keeps them from popping. They just wear out and get sloppy. Great vid!! Bash on 😎😎

We've thought about doing that, but kind of decided to just let them pop off. It's a minor inconvenience but probably helps to keep other things from breaking. At least that's what we hope. Have not really broke anything on the front end so maybe it's working? Have you had any issues with the front end having them on more securely? My concern is the servo and steering assembly getting punished more.

RC WorkBench RC WorkBench Yeah I haven’t noticed any negative aspects to keeping the o-rings on. The steering assembly has held up fine. If you run the V4 components the capture ball actually has a bigger flange to keep them from popping off so that is another option .
