I feel like Apple should start the keynotes with a disclaimer stating that it’s okay if people don’t buy the newest iPhone or Apple Watch every year because it seems everyone comes into these events expecting to have something that makes the previous years’ tech obsolete. Anyways, the satin black looks very nice on the Ultra 2, but I’ll stick with my Ultra 1 for now as it has served me quite well since launch. The Series 10 will be great because I do know quite a few people who would prefer to have a larger screen with the traditional Apple Watch’s design. And finally, unless you are actually doing multi-day treks in the brush without access to modern facilities, there is really no use case for multi-day, yet alone multi-week battery life on a sports watch. I’ve never met anyone who could legitimately say that they didn’t have 15-20 minutes every 2 days to throw their watch on a charger outside the context of doing a multi-day trek.

I'm still doing sports with my AW5 and I have to report that the battery sucks with GPS and a long hike (about 7-9h). Even with a black screen during hiking, my watch just dies during the hike. It does that since purchasing. And no, I'm not willing to turn the GPS off. I just wanted an upgrade on the battery life :( It doesn't have to last like a Garmin, but at least during sport activities. The Ultra is no option - got small wrists

@@Arkadij7 hi there, I have Ultra 2 but I came from 45 mm series 9. (I gave it to my stepdad after surgery, that’s why I upgraded a same year watch), I am a little person as well. My wrists are very skinny, the watch actually takes up my wrist, but my series 9 was fantastic with its size. The battery always had to be charged the morning after a regular day, or if I was working out longer than 30 minutes with gps, usually I would just charge it after I showered (to clean myself and the watch). I love my Ultra 2, it only needs a charge every 2-3 days. The 3rd day is pushing it, a 4 hour hike doesn’t chew the battery up, my watch is not connected to my phone plan, I always have my phone with me.

I will never come back to the regular smart watches after I bought Garmin Forerunner 965 last year. With disabled AOD watch lasts 20 days+. The ultra 3 is not even close to that. And in addition Garmin has a lot of health metrics and sport features. It's unbelievable, the apple with their 3nm chips (2nd gen), hardware and software control can't create a watch that lasts at least a week😢

Audio playback from speaker is useful for listening podcasts in bed. Because then you don’t need full sound. Strange though that only the ultra 2 and series 10 will support this feature.

I got lucky to buy the last batch that came out of Apple of the Ultra Watch 2 with the SPO2 sensor at a T-Mobile store in June .. They told me this was the last Ultra 2 in stock, I was not aware of and nor did they it had the active O2 sensor. I love it!

This causes it to be much more responsive and low latency. It’s probably one of the biggest speed upgrades in Apple watch history

Because actually no manufacturer has been able to accurately add it to a smart watch. The other companies that have it actually aren’t accurate and Apple refuses to put an inaccurate instrument into their watch while others do just for bragging rights
