Mesmarizing. Hats off to the sisters duo. I remember TN Krishna talking about gender bias on why the elder sister (of Akkarai sisters) was not getting opportunities to be an accompaniment for mainstream artists.......I somehow feel that this talented duo has been neglected by the Chennai fraternity, for some reason

Such a bhavam laden Aalap, and then a superfast thillana without losing any of the lyrical bhavam. Miss Swarna is not just the second fiddle, she is an equal half - so nice to see her often glance so appreciatively at her elder sister (and probably guru on the concert platform) Spellbinding mridangam and ghatam support by Sri Patri and Sri Krishna beautifully underscored the thillana's highlights.
