If long range variant is giving 260 km then I think mid range variant will not go above 180km...EVs are still impractical for long trips unless it gives real life 500 km range

I have been driving tiago ev from last 1 year. My experience so far is you can have range of approx 60-65% in city conditions with ac full time on and approx 75-85% on highways. Regenerative braking is a boon in city conditions.

If NA engine then go for punch you get bettee ground clearance. If you want power go for altroz diesel or turbo

For a city car the range of 260-280 is excellent. If daily use is 40km thata charging just once a week. Nobody can drive 280km without a break and thats when you charge the car and yourself! Thanks for the video Ravi. It's takes lot of effort to drain an EV battery down to single digit.😊

Sorry to say but agar daily running 40kms h to cng is the best option. No reason to put extra 5 lakhs. Or electricity bhi abhi thermal hi h to pollution waha bhi h. I think this car should be maximum 2.5 lakhs + then the petrol car. I know battery costly h but engine bhi to nikal raha h uski bhi to value h.

I think Tata mostly make 1st model for trial on people and then test it for 2years, and then after customer feedback improvise it. Like Nexon it will get some updates and in next 1,2 year it will show some better quality in panel gap issues,long range issues,plastic quality issues. Etc. I think they will increase battery next year

Sir, I have bought Punch EV 3 months back. Day by day, the range (with AC on) increased from 250 to 300km (with energy efficiency 110-120). We live in north India and during extreme hot weather (40 degree+), the range decreased to 200-210, and energy efficiency increased to 160 (shocking). The climate system is consuming more battery (what I have observed!). Means, range has now decreased from 300 km to 200-220 km, i.e. more than 80-90 kms, which is a big figure! On the other hand, my driving behavior has improved from 7 to 8 (so range should increase, right ?). My daily kilometer calculations are being disturbed and now I am charging my car 3 more days in a month (consuming more electricity). This reduced range issue is also with one of my known, who is also using same PUNCH EV car. One thing more, this issue is not with my friend's Nexon EV, as it's range is reduced by 30-40 km only (during peak summers). Sir, I have approached Tata, but their response is not satisfactory. I have also shared my driving behavior figures, range display screenshots with them. What to do, please help!!
