Varkala - One of the famous tourist places in Kerala!!
Welcome to Episode 3 of my "Solo In South" series. In this episode, I take you to a few of the unique places in Varkala - places no one talks about. Varkala is famous for its beaches, cliff, parties, fancy cafes, surfing, and lip-smacking food but very few people know that Varkala is also a historical town in the mythological history of India. Come along as I take you on a journey you didn't know you needed. And yes! a huge shout-out to the KSRTC buses in Kerala. I traveled to Varakala from Munnar on the local bus. It took me 9 hours and the journey was comfortable and beautiful.

This made me so nostalgic.I was in Varkala last June, I went there for 2 days but ended up staying for 5 days and everyone I interacted with had the same story. I guess that's bcz this place has just started getting popularity and ppl don't know what to expect and therefore plan a short trip but when go there,this place has some calming effect on you, it has such laid back nd chill vibe. It's a quintessential beach town where you just go to chill and unwind. This is one place I'll probably go again in a heartbeat.

Been staying in Goa for the last 4 years now. Cliff is quite similar to Cabo de rama in South Goa. Goa still holds a lot of charm, thought getting over commercialized. And that is a worry. Varkala is new and less accessible to people from North India....
