I'm still constantly blown away by how realistic Element 3d looks. Even if those reflections are approximated and not exact, it's still instantaneous. And here I am taking 2 hours to render that same frame in mental ray.....

Realy awesom. Now I must learn how to apply in my projects. I don't know, easy to copy step by step what you done, but is extremely difficult to apply to a new project. Now I'm creating a 3D set similar to the final scene of close encounters, using roof pack surely help me, but the 360° set extension... will make me crazy

Absoluttely amazing as always, I was kind of hoping for you to go over the colouring of this scene at the end and when you put BB8 on the ledge, I really wanted to see you animate him falling off but I still enjoyed and really hope to get a chance to use these rooftop elements soon.

Quick tip: if you want have a more easier animation with the bb8 auxiliary thing. You could create several slider controls and parent those specific controls to the slider control effect that way you know exactly what you’re moving around and don’t have to go through lists of options forth and back.
@virtual_intel7 жыл бұрын
This is beyond! holy cow I need to learn from scratch so I'm going back to your first video/s. Oh and I gotta learn Adobe After Effects plus purchase it. Time to go completely virtual. Subbed and curated to my animation playlist. WOW!! love the roof intro, that was amazing!

The toughest thing about this is compositing the green screen layer in a 3d environment without making it look flat. It's even harder when the Green Screen shots are in different angles and positions. You have to be aware of the dimension of the actor in the 3d environment. Thank you Andrew for guiding me through this process. I'm loving Element 3D!

I decided to drop the original texture I used as Diffuse from the Glossiness map, went into Photoshop, and created a black and white clouds (Effect -> Render -> Clouds). I imported it as Glossiness map, decreased my bumping, and set the UV slightly asymmetrical. I got beautiful puddles.
