sweet .. i just done something like this after they clear cutted about 5000 acres around my 80 acres lease.. its so cool to see how you done this..it will help me for sure as i move on..i have a mile pasture to the south on half of my lease and and clear cuts 3 years old to the east, and planted pines.. thanks for you insight

Awesome video. I am looking at 40 acres right now. It is a solid block of timber with a creek in the middle of several solid blocks of timber. There is some ag fields about 7-800 yards away on one side and a small food plot about 300 yards across the border. I believe establishing food and trails will be huge on this property.

Question: I’ve got permission to hunt someone’s private wooded property. Probably can’t do any food plots or anything. I know taking corn out can cause pressure/scent/ and maybe make them nocturnal. Would it be better to scatter corn out every couple weeks or just do nothing and stay out?

In that situation it would be tough to hunt unless there already bedding on the property with travel areas going to and from food. Figure out where there feeding and then figure out how there getting to bedding. If not of that takes place on that land and it’s just a pass through property heck yeah I would use corn. But what I would do instead of dumping it in a pile is spread it out. Take a few bags every other week or so a couple months before season and spread it out. Sling it, throw it around your stand about 20 or so yards out. Spread it out as much as possible. Makes it more of a natural setting and last longer. When the season comes in I would take like half a bag in with me and toss it out. Don’t over hunt that spot and hunt it very safe.

Had to rip up and replant screen. Just not getting rain. Coming up very patchy. I hope it comes up just losing height at this point. Calling for rain next three days.

It’s been rough in some areas this year with no rain. I dealt with that last fall planted in august and was dry as a bone! Dust bowl
