Very useful video! In my garden, I follow the principle using more formal and “neater” materials (stone, pavers) for pathways and borders closer to the residence. Likewise, pathways and borders farther into the garden gradually become more rough and primitive (grass, railroad ties). Finally, the edge of the garden is separated from purely wild woods by very simple (wood) materials such as logs.
