Hello nice video. But how did u take coefficients at point in table in table 9
@lakeman41013 жыл бұрын
very nice video, nonetheless please could you send or post BS code reference for all the parameters used in the video? I really would love to have that.

why do you use nominal reinforcement for the slab base, and not design it as a simply supported beam strip?
@lavanyam8998 Жыл бұрын
In hoop tension u have used tab 9 nd 10 of taking the h^2/dt value in that suppose it's not 8 having of 8.2 value so in that we need to calculate interpolation method i need that method pls tell me how to calculate the interpolation method for the value of 8.2 between the value of 8 and 10

How did you assume thickness of base slab without considering bearing capacity of soil?
@HarshVengurlekar Жыл бұрын
I don't think SBC will affect thickness.

Is this Working stress method?
@Sacademicus5 жыл бұрын
Yes water tank is based on working stress method Limit state method has been uploaded based on British Standard with crack width check

Q = 1/2(Sigma cbc)*j*k thanks for pointing out the missing details next time onwards we will take care of it..

For sigma cbc, 2/3 of fck is coming rong for m20. Its not 6.5
@pavanpatel7773 жыл бұрын
It is 1/3 of fck (concrete grade) 20*(1/3)=~7😊

How to find Sigmacbc and sigma st????
@sourabhdande81365 жыл бұрын
Sir... Formula for q us hidden in video, pls let me know in comment
@Sacademicus5 жыл бұрын
Sorry for late reply. Sigma cbc is allowable stress in concrete and sigma st is allowable stress in reinforcement. For Sigma Cbc refer table 21 of IS 456 And for Sigma student refer table 22 of us 456:2000 Page no 81 & 82

You haven't explained the effect of cantilever action on the water tank and so your design is incorrect
@Sacademicus5 жыл бұрын
thanks for putting ur observations. Many checks are not included. excluding check does not necessarily mean the design is correct. its just a simple video on water tank. for detailed video please refer a design of water tank as per British standard where cantilever action and crack width check is performed. below is the link of video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eqDMgqiHorisldk
