I don’t believe in soulless products that are made cheap, bought cheap, and designed to be thrown away so you can buy more. Unfortunately, those companies (ahem Shein) are also dominating the market right now…😕 It’s reported that they made more than Zara AND H&M combined last year!
But I’m not here to compete (nor could I ever). I’m here to ✨create✨
To me, every single thing I make has to have a why, a purpose, and a meaningful journey into your hands. Every single style you see on the POPFLEX website takes 9-12 months EACH from sketch to being able to purchase because of how obsessive I get about fit and performance during the product development process. The fitting and prototyping is what takes the longest, but it has to, because if the garment doesn’t fit perfect or perform up to my standards, the whole thing is a waste of everyone’s time. Your time trying on something that doesn’t make you smile = my failure.
I don’t know what your perception of my company is, but the reality is, we’re a very very small team that works REALLY HARD and cares A LOT about you guys. We all read your comments. We have a slack channel dedicated to things you love and one for things you hate 🥲 The entire product dev team is women who work out! So trust me, WE GET IT. And just so you know, the word “cameltoe” comes up more times than you can even imagine in an average conversation 😅
Anyway, it was so hard to edit down 12 months into 60 seconds but I hope you can find some appreciation for the product development process. That’s why I get so excited when a design comes out because it’s like my baby! And look, I can’t tell you how other companies do things (though I CAN easily tell who takes time and who doesn’t based on fit alone), but I wanted to give you transparency into the ‪@popflexactive‬ process.

Ps: For those wondering about fair labor with our manufacturing partners, fair is the bare minimum. We only partner with factories that get audited and can show us 3rd party certificates proving that they are socially and ethically compliant with labor, health, safety laws etc.

@@sophritoh I just learned how to draw/create garments on the computer in fashion flat form using the program Illustrator. I did not actually have knowledge beyond that how to get those "tech packs" produced into actual clothing. She had samples made, model fittings, back and forth with more fittings to fix problems and to be more size inclusive with fits. Then when happy with the designs she had them mass produced. As well as figured out how to open an online web site and get traffic to that web site! Idk how she established contacts to start all this!?! #Whoyouknow #Networking

I love how you are so honest about the background of it all, and I often find that some fashion brands DON’T test their clothing on different body’s and it can be especially hard for people to look for a perfect and comfortable fit, it’s purely awesome that you care about everyone and you make sure that everyone can enjoy your products. I'm not sure if you've already made something like this, but I hate that I can't wear shorts, just because my thighs touch. I have a beautiful pair of shorts, but when I walk, my inner thighs quickly start hurting and stay red for days. I'd love to see shorts that you can wear and walk in comfortably even if your thighs touch while standing, sitting and walking, shorts that you can work out in but look casual enough to wear almost anywhere. Oh, and pockets are a must of course hahah:) love your work, it's very motivational

OMG THANK YOU FOR THIS! So I was looking for the perfect swimsuit, and there were many swimsuits that were almost what I wanted, but not quite there. I figured, ugh. I just want to design my own swimsuit so I won’t have any issues with particular things. I didn’t think it was possible but then I stumbled across your design videos which opened up my perspective and motivated me to think that designing isn’t all that hard.
