do you know how to add datum target in model part over an axis? also is there any cosmetic sketch? In order to have a datum target an area has to be define, such as some hatch area or something that define the size of the datum target... thanks

Maybe it's an add-in you don't have installed? The Solidworks forum would be the best place to get help on this.

Right mouse click on any TAB ( Surface, Sketch....) then you'll see all tabs check marked. To add additional tab check mark the tab.
