I did get my wife interested in this hobby about two years ago, and we've built a small but very nice collection of her own timepieces. There are a few in my collection she enjoys from time to time but I've amassed several straps that are made for ladies or anyone with very small wrists so I just swap the straps on them when she wants to wear one. So, there are no issues with this in my house.

Very cool! Of course my antics on camera dont really reflect the joy i have when my wife shares her thoughts on a watch. I guess i have beaten her spirit with the constant barrage of watches at home and she decided to join in. but yes she’s into watches now too.

I just love this watch and your spouse connection with your passion thrue this watch is very inspiring. Unfortunately, I'm afraid that a decision to get parted from one thousand dollars for a watch (even as beautiful as this one), will have an opposit effect on my relationship with my wife. Heartbreaking 😂

Wow! Amazing watch and it perfectly fits YOUR wrist! I also have to say the beige Artem complements it perfectly! As to your work... what can I say? Flawless, as usual!

Beautiful watch! Excellent strap choices, too! 🤩 You’re right about wives getting into watches. Some of my G-Shocks have gone “missing” only to reappear on my wife’s wrist!

Yeah bro. You know what she’s thinking now? Buying some display cases. Of course that’s where it’s going to go.

That's a nice watch. It has several interesting design queues as you've mentioned. Nice finish on the manual wind calibre.

My wife has taken some really nice pieces from me. For some, I had to quickly get another to backfill. She must have taken at least 10 from me. I keep her collection in winders so I don’t have to deal with them when she wears them. My hunch is if I get the red dial, it’ll be gone too. 😂

It looks fantastic on the sand-like colour strap ... but it looks even better on her wrist as opposed to his wrist 😉👍🏼

A very interesting watch! Not for me, but it's quite a bit different than the usual microbrand fare. It does look like a first attempt though. It's underdesigned and overdesigned at the same time. The lugs are great, love them. The logo is pretty bad, but then it is very difficult to design a logo for a watch brand. The date window is a travesty, it looks like an afterthought. I like that the date and day wheels are colour matched, but they blend in too much. When you have a date and day display on a watch, I think it's better to make them a very big part of your design. Here, again, they seem like an afterthought. Love the choice of the manual wind movement though. The bracelet is indeed divisive. I like it, like how it goes with the watch, but personally would never wear it. I'm getting middle eastern art vibes from the entire watch, which is great! But not my cup of tea when it comes to watches. Considering all this, the price is too damn high as well.

A long lineage of watch design would have predicted that a woman might snatch a watch that features diamands! As for these diamonds, I oddly would have appreciated a bit more sparkle on them. And that possibly extends to the whole dial. It is mighty interesting and a tad busy, yet lacks something for me, which probably simply comes down to balance and refinement. It doesnt help that I feel the logo is incongruent with the dial design. It feels too plain and simple for all the flourishes around it, with lines that aren't equally weighted to the other elements and curved where the overriding theme is angular. There is lots to like on the dial and it does fascinate, but it seems a few tweaks away from truly convincing to me. It's logically hard to combine a few strong ideas into something that soars. It's a similar story with the case. The bezel seem oddly plain and would have benefitted from the sparkle of a polihsed accent. The side case should, in my view, have read optically thinner and perhaps have a more simple flow to emphasise the exuberance of the dial. The lugs, however, are done quite well. You called it bead blasted, and perhaps it is, but if it is, it looks far coarser than typical bead blasting almost reminding me of cast metal, and that accent totslly works. More brands shpuld consider it. The recess also seems sufficiently profound to articulate that detail. The bracelet decoration gives this watch an undeniably unique, refined, and recognisable presence. For me it cleverly reduces that impression of a large chunk of metal wrapped around the wrist without being so attention grabbing as polished centre links. Here the detail is more apparent on closer inspection. I think it works, and actually out of all the straps shown, I think I would still prefer the bracelet. The beige artem, however, is an excellent match, but I wish that sail cloth was less sporty. I think that texture doesnt suit this dressy and detailed watch. I think it would do wonders on softer textures like suede and possibly a Vario tweed if the colour mix corresponds. Ultimately, even though it is a large watch for your wife, I much preferred it on her wrist. She is, therefore, right to claim her stake. Now, what's the history on female pirates?

The bracelet, clasp and outer, recessed lug engraving need to go. It looks tacky and cheap. Even if they removed the engraving, I bet it rattles, so I'd immediately replace the bracelet. The crown is too big. Automatic is better than manual. Green is a non-starter Nice dial design, but that's about it.
@DesignAtelier10 ай бұрын
good points about the bracelet. some rattle wont hurt me though but i’d imagine that many people wont like that. automatic vs manual is subjective and depends on the movement, no matter what I or other people say.
