One thing to remember, is that your sublimation ink might need what is called an ICC profile to get true colors when you print. I have an Epson 7710 and use Cosmos ink which is not supposed to need an ICC profile. Sawgrass inks DO require you to download their ICC profile. Not sure about the ink that she's using. Just research your ink before you purchase it.

@@AntonioLopez-yz2hf In color management, an ICC profile is a set of data that characterizes a color input or output device, or a color space, according to standards promulgated by the International Color Consortium . That's the real definition! What it does is coordinate the colors you see on your computer screen to what is being printed on your sublimation prints. Sawgrass inks must have an ICC profile or your colors won't print correctly. It is usually provided when you buy their inks. Epsons can usually use inks that don't really need a color profile. Why an Epson doesn't need an ICC profile is beyond my understanding! But so far, my colors are coming out pretty close to what I'm seeing on my computer.

This sounds like what our problem is. My sister and I bought an Epson printer and converted it. We used the ink and paper we were told to use. However, the first image we printed (which we purchased from Etsy) came out orange instead of pink. Can you tell me what we need to do?

Everybody seem to talk about sublimation ink and printers and Paper and they all sound pretty good, but nobody seems to explain the process of trying to take it from your computer upload a picture as big as you want it, walk you through the process of inserting the printer with the sublimation paper showing how to easily upload a picture without having to turn you off by talking about all those graphic design website that you need to upload you basic jpeg picture for you first project, and when they do try to explain they talk in a way that they think I know what they are trying to explain when all they do is say ... and then you go here and click on the whatever button and so on without you actually being able to see there hands, I must give credit to one guy out there called something like smarty pants he does a good job at showing you all of his clicks on the computer. sorry just venting out new at this 3 days cant seem to print a t shirt yet..

Just one quesion I have.... when you say you can use white litter HTV and sublimate on top, do you mean that you would heat press/apply the HTV to the garment/item first and then apply the sublimate on top? But yes, you will sublimate directly onto the White Glitter HTV and the 400 degrees is not detrimental for the time it takes to sublimate (60 seconds). A cutter like brother scan and cut or cricut just to name a couple will cut through the material such as vinyl or leather, some can also do a cut on thin wood as well.

You can try Mary Ann, but I'm not sure how successful it will be. A lot of irons have the steam holes in the surface, which means there is no heat and pressure in those areas. Sorry I don't have better news! ---Becky

Hey there! Great question! Blowout paper is going to be butcher paper, parchment paper, even copy paper, and it catches any excess ink that isn't absorbed into the substrate. If you use a teflon sheet or forget the blowout paper, you run the risk of the sublimation ink attaching to your heat platen, work surface or teflon sheet, and then be transferred onto your next project. Hey there! The sublimation ink bonds forever. No peeling, no fading (except direct sunlight like doormats or garden flags). It's an amazing product. It does not work on dark colors, though, you would have to pair it with a vinyl product like EasySubli. Hope this helps! ---Becky

Hey Linda! If you are purchasing a Sawgrass, any of the reputable sublimation retailers can help you (Conde, Coastal Business, HeatPressNation just to name a few). If you have decided on an Epson, they will be hard to find since the start of the pandemic, but you can check BestBuy, Amazon, Office Depot (that's where I found mine) and most places that sell printers. I am trying to sublimate on 11x14 cotton canvas. My epson can print 8.5x14. I have two print pieces which I have taped together to press and fill the canvas. I laminated the canvas. The problem I continue to have is that the line appears where I unite the two pieces. What am I doing wrong?

The copy paper has to be the combination of inkjet and laser paper. There are only 2 Epson printers that can specifically be converted for sublimation ink without too much trouble.

Hey Barbara! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. We've used regular copy paper, as long as the image is pressed immediately. Fortunately, Epson has a wide variety of printers that can be converted, depending on your needs. I have the WF-7710, there's the WF-7720, there are a few "regular" size and the very popular Ecotanks. One for every budget LOL. Thanks again! ---Becky

I love to watch you. you are awesome and this like all your videos are great. But nobody ever says what kind if file to use until today i thought png was better. but i bought a design in corel and of course i had to resize it. but it is telling me resolution is below 6 dpi. I am so confused pleae help with what files to use. there are so many videos out but nobody goes into detail about file. so far i have wasted a lot of money. now i dont know which way to go please help Thanks

Untill my birthday rn I have the printer but I don't have the heat press till February I have like 10 plain shirts and. A iron just to get use to the actual printer but I'm really excited for the heat press

I have purchased all equipment and paper from PRO World for years I have been printing T-shirts. Now I am interested in print Mugs and any other available items. I do have an Epson Printer and just purchase another ink Jet all in one printer called HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e. do I need to purchase another printer or just change my printing paper from Jet Pro? So we must only use Polyester material? What do material do I need to print cups/mugs caps or other items? also please show the Sublimations paper, please?

Hey Amp, the process for sublimating mugs and cups have similar requirements for other sublimation items, you'll use your regular sublimation paper and ink, then you'll just need to decide if you want to use a mug press or a convection oven.
