I use my heat press hat curve and my iron that way I get the curviture of the hat without fighting with my mat or a towel

Hi Kerry! Flocked HTV is a heat transfer vinyl with a raised soft and fuzzy texture, but doesn't rise as high as the Puff! - Dawn

What temp did you used on your mini press and how long did you press the design? Also, where did you get the hat?

Hey Mic! So the EasyPress Mini has 3 settings, the "middle" one is for HTV. If you are using a home iron, you will want to play with your settings to get around 320 degrees F for most brands of HTV. I pressed the design in 10-15 second intervals since it took several moves of the little baby press to cover the entire design. Hope this helps!! ---Becky

Hey Stacy! You can do this with a heat press, but I would probably use a household iron (if available) before a heat press. But you would apply the same concepts, but you would push that front of the hat into the top plate of the heat press (protect your hands!) and then move it around until all the parts of the HTV are heated. Hope this helps!! ---Becky

One thing you can do, if the design doesn't seem to lay flat, is to clip into the carrier tape to make the design move in or out a little bit. Seams are definitely tricky, but are sometimes unavoidable. The harder issue is trying to figure out the curve so something that's supposed to look flat across the front of the crown actually looks flat and doesn't angle to one side or the other...

Great tip Brenda! I agree with your assessment on having the design lay flat. That's what I love about HTV, it can be rearranged until I'm happy (LOL).
