Alt fragrances is a very nice house. I love the Just Porto 7, it smelled very similar to Tom Ford’s Neroli Portofino, and is just a great scent on its own.

Baccarat Rouge 540, Santal 33, Rose 31, Another 13 and Silver Mountain Water actually fall under and are produced by perfumery houses that exclusively focus on fragrance or scented products - they are not designer fragrances. Designer fragrances (Chanel, Gucci, Prada, Versace etc.) are the fragrances sold by fashion designer brands that were initially and mainly established for clothing and accessories designing. Otherwise, great info!

To me the Chanel no 5 smells like what a millionaire would wash their hands with lol A rich powdery soap .How was the longevity and silage with the dossier ??

I love this video! I watched another video with a lady who has experience selling fragrances and she also recommended the ALT Crystal for the Baccarat Rouge 540. Granted nothing is the same as the original but I’m getting ready to go order some! Based on the comments I might want to decant the bottle to a new one after I get this. Thanks for the reviews! P.S. Le Labo IS amazing. I didn’t realize Rose 31 was so expensive until after I looked it up! The Fairmont hotels feature their toiletries and smell amazing!

DOSSIER for LIFE!! Not only are they vegan❤️ but also I think they’re bottles are way classier🙌 also they give you a sample so you can return it for free if you didn’t like it.

Yeah, been looking into them. Now I feel terrible about having another perfume that's not cruelty free that I could perhaps see something close to in the future. Cruelty free, affordable, moderately sized, and similar to the most popular high end brands anyway. I've heard longevity is decent even if not as long as the inspirations. I really thought we were far enough on animal cruelty, didn't even think to check before grabbing a perfume by Burberry with a gift card. 😣 But looking into Dossier made me go back and check and while companies won't reveal where in production, they can't say they're cruelty free. Won't buy from them unless that changes.

I have a pretty extensive collection of niche fragrances. But Another 13 (Le Labo) is EASILY my biggest compliment monster!! It gets more than Creed Aventus, Layton or any of my Tom Ford stuff. With that said, Alts "Simply Another" is probably the best dupe I've ever experienced! I mean...Its nearly EXACT!! Alt has some very good dupes!! They also have a few that I don't care for. As a HUGE fan of Le Labo, I cannot recommend Simply Another, enough!! If you know and love Another 13.....You HAVE TO grab a bottle. Feel free to thank me later 😂

I bought the ALT baccarat dupe and it was like a bottle of water. It didn’t smell at ALL. I could not smell it at all. I tried it for over a week. I was really disappointed because of all the hype and influencers saying that they were stopped in the stores and asked what they were wearing. I could not believe it. I thought surely they had to be paid promotions to say it. Then I thought it must be me, maybe i just cannot smell it. I asked my son. I sprayed it on my wrist and he, even pressing his nose against my skin could barely smell it. He was like “I can smell it but barely”. So I then found out that you cannot even get a refund from that company. If you return the item you can only get a store credit for another one of their products. I was SO disappointed and after several emails back and forth with the company really struggling to understand what happened and maybe I got a defective bottle, they actually did refund me. I then ordered a sample of a different perfume from Le Labo and could not believe the difference in quality. A tiny sample cost me $7.50 and the tiniest spritz on my wrist was so incredibly different. The scent was incredibly strong in a good way, it really felt like I would get my money’s worth if I purchased from them and the quality was incredible. Hours later I was getting scent from the perfume even from under my long sleeve shirt where it had been sprayed on the wrist. I hadn’t even sprayed it on my neck. That gave me the confidence to know I would get high quality from that brand. But after watching this video I feel good to try Dossier at a lower price point, so off I go hoping not to waste another $50!

On their site they say what its inspired by just like on ALT

As Mustard Captain noted, the website notes under each "inspired by..." Then you get the notes in details. The notes will come from different enough things to be its own but to essentially recreate the inspiration in final product. Pretty clever. I'm waiting my first order to confirm.

I ordered a bunch of Alt and the only one I was impressed with was the Santal perfume dupe. The Baccarat 23 was weak and didn’t last on me. The spray on Alt don’t work well and leak so don’t place on dresser or you’ll ruin finish or paint. 🥲 The bottles are awful looking on Alt along with spray not working properly.
