Having bought a new classic maxi double flap Chanel bag last year, I don't regret it. Pricey, yes, however it has already gone up in price making it a good investment bag. Probably wouldn't sell it, but nice to know it is appreciating in value and I enjoy it.

I bought the Gucci soho disco bag in beige for my 30th and have been wairing it all summer. Really good bag for a really good price. Chanel is really expensive and the prices go up so much. I do have a Chanel jumbo in gold hardware (bought new). But I bought mine in 2011 and then it was €3110. So I think I got it for a good price, glad I bought it then. It's the bag that I will NEVER get rid off.

Loving the collection. I still love the Gucci Dionysus it’s a new classic in my opinion(Its lovely that Simon purchased it for you). The truth is all bags come in and out of “trend” and smart people pounce on people falling out of love with these amazing bags and pay nothing for them, then they come back into trend, I find it fascinating.

Totally get what you mean about the marmont. Everyone has it now and also the huge logo looks tacky. I always gravitate towards lesser known bags. Some of my favorites are the Proenza PS1, and the Stella Falabella. Both in unique colors.

I agree with you, Chanel Handbag Prices are just Ridiculously priced at this point to me & the quality in nowhere near the same as a Vintage Chanel. My Vintage Chanel Maxi Flap is 24k gold plated & now you rarely find a new released gold colored hardware in Chanel...let alone gold plated. I just can't see myself purchasing one brand new. Great handbag collection. I plan to record a video soon on my collection, but it's probably going to be 2 hours long because my collection is massive! lol

Last Summer, I checked the M Gavriel bucket bag together with so many other designer bags. MG did feel a bit cheap. I remember I saw another bucket bag from Mulberry( Abbey) which seemed really quality. I did not buy the Mulberry because I know the brand has an outlet at Bicester and tends to go on sales at the end of the season. Between all of the designer bags, I liked the Celine Box bag but I dislike that buckle. At the end of my holiday seasons, I purchased a LV Pochette Metis which I regretted just after because I stopped wearing monograms long time ago and this one was in monogram canvas. That bag stayed couple of months untouched than one day I said let me try this. After I try, I fell in love how practical the canvas was and how the color was easy to use almost any outfit. I, again, dislike the buckle( my biggest issue with the bags), but I think it was a good decision even though it has a loud monogram look. I think my next and maybe the last for a long time designer bag purchase will be Celine box bag. I really hope that they do something with that buckle as it seems like I will hit that extra piece of metal to all doors, walls, etc and damage it. I loved your Celine a lot!

The Givenchy Antigona is a classic. Very sturdy, strong, self-confident in a sense (heavy hardware, excellent quality etc.). Goes along with Dr. Martens just fine. Depends on the look one wants to achieve. Nice collection.

Just got an Antigona myself last week. What a brilliant purchase as the price is rather reasonable considering the size and the materials for the bag which is in full leather. Besides, it’s made in Italy. It’s so sturdy and fashionable at the same time.

Try the Mr.Clean Magic Eraser on your suede purse I have tried that on purses and suede boots and black marks off my tennis shoes. Magic Eraser works on a lot of things .

Claire at 'the handbag restoration company ' is amazing if you wanted to get your suede cleaned ( no relative etc just a happy customer .) I use collonil carbon pro on all my bags including Chloe suede- stops/reduces colour transfer and dirt, makes it easy to clean. Love lolo on Facebook have great videos showing how to use Collonil products .

I started saving for a vintage Chanel in January this year. I’m nearly at the point where I can buy one but it feels scary to spend so much on a bag but I’ve wanted one for years. Are you still planning to get a Celine box? Not sure if you know but they come in at least 2 different leather types so you don’t have to get the smooth leather one.

Have you tried using window cleaner on the bag? I use amonia free window cleaner on hard to clean fabrics like microfiber and suede. Not sure if it'd work or not, but probably couldn't hurt to try! Just spray a little on and work it through with a soft brush.

The Gucci black bag with the short handles is very similar to my favorite purse by Botkier, the Soho Bite size bag. It is black with a silver zipper detail on the outside of the bag. I love a purse that can be a crossbody or I can remove the straps and carry it. I super love the simon miller bag with the light brown nubuck and matching handles. I dont know if anyone has that variation for sale, the ones online have a plastic brown handle. Overall nice selection!

If you're ever interested in fixing the crease on the classic flap, I just learned that there is a service here in the States called Leather Surgeons who can fix that. I never knew that until recently, and now I keep looking at vintage bags to see if I can find a really good deal. Not affiliated with them or anything, but I thought you might want to know. :)

It really depends on what mood I am in and what I'm wearing. For a long time my go to was the Gucci Marmont and Dionysus but now I'm more drawn toward Judith (puzzle bag) or Jacqueline (Chanel) depending on what Im doing/wearing. 😀
