Reasons to Believe is one of my very FAVORITE ministries! I left my previous church because they had wlc as a guest speaker spouting his heresy that Genesis is "mytho history", preaching evolution etc. When I made an appointment with my pastor to discuss this, he stood me up. Instead I was greeted by his wife who condescendingly said "Let me explain to you what apologetics is". I quickly held up my Apologetics Bible and said "You ou mean like this?" Then I proceeded to explain that I get MY apologetics from brilliant SCIENTISTS (such as yourselves) not a philosopher, who apparently is on the same team as Darwin, the atheist. Then I said "I'll stick with my team, thank you very much" and left. I found a wonderful church that preaches the entire word of God as inherent. Thank you and God bless you both and your Ministry 🙏🙏🙏

Probably made a good choice, but don't forget that philosophy is required to follow science. The abilities to determine the truth are philosophical questions.

Great episode. Could you please explain the probability of the 2020 'plague' being 'man made' vs 'a natural' phenomenon.

For nearby galaxies, the time dilation is negligible, but the Doppler effect is not. Doppler effect is a first-order effect; time dilation is a second-order effect. Both make events in other galaxies look slower to us, unless the galaxies are moving toward us, in which case the Doppler shift makes them look faster and the time dilation makes them look slower.

Another incredibly fascinating update, both outer space and inner space....(remember the movie with Dennis Quaid?=) ) Dr. Ross, you mentioned three of four...parameters (?) where the big bang theory validates Scripture. Would you briefly explain that remark? I'd have tons of questions for Dr. Fuzz but I wouldn't know where to begin. Old dog, new tricks. God bless

An entertaining and easy-to-understand book about creation, evolution, and the Big Bang debate is Axis of Beginning.

I wish there were some OEC churches in my area.I’m not saying that the Spirit of God is absent in my Church it’s just YEC dominant.

@Terrylb285 - Hi Terry. I feel your pain. Although I no longer hold membership at an “institutionalised” church, I am a member of a home group of very close friends. Within this group of around 30 people, myself and one other like-minded 16 year old are the only two OEC’s. Although this topic rarely comes up, probably due to its divisive nature, the question on my heart is, “Why do you believe in YEC? Is it because you’ve thoroughly researched this or is it because you’ve accepted what you’ve been taught?” I’ve yet to use this tactic, although did so once, and hear the answers. Could be very revealing…

@@keithdurandt I think this is one of those areas where is has become a traditional teaching, not just with old earth but also the flood of Noah .we tend to let our western thinking automatically interpret what we think is a clear reading of the text .I never knew the Bible teaches a worldwide flood but not global

@@Terrylb285 I like the way you’re thinking. It’s very rare but it’s comforting to know that there are a “remnant” willing to question and be open-minded.

Interesting. Imagine studying natural biological machines to inspire nanotechnology for our own use. That is reverse engineering. Sounds like intelligence, and it’s a bit hilarious that the people looking at this don’t have an epiphany moment to realize what’s staring them in the face.
