The only thing about the stupid Apple mouse emoji is that, the stupid Apple mouse emoji would never get sent to anyone. All that gets transmitted is the code for the emoji, so someone on a Samsung phone would see the Samsung emoji, no matter who sent it. 1:58:53 I can tell you exactly what those "half floors" are on that elevator. It is that the elevator has doors on both sides and when you select the whole number you get the front doors when you select the half numbers you get the back doors. Normally it is indicated with an R for reverse like 1,2,2R,3,3R,4,5,6,6R, etc but sometimes places will use halves instead of "R" if all the back doors are to service areas where the front doors go to places customers go, if you use 2 and 2R a customer might accidently select 2R and end up in an area of the building you don't want them in where as if you use halves instead customers won't tend to press half floors.
@HenryLoenwind6 ай бұрын
R and half are two different concepts. R-floors are at the same level, just the other door. Half floors are actually between the floors on the other side.

My favorite bad design I heard of irl was when they designed/built one of the buildings at my uni they made it so that the floor near the entrance of the psychology lecture hall was made of glass so you could see down to the cafeteria. But ofcourse that also meant you could see up as well and psychology students are a majority women and people could see up their skirts basically 😬. So I think instead of replacing the glass they did something to make it not transparent anymore and it looked weird but was a fun story to tell freshmen lol.

28:35 Looks like it tried to eat a hornet. 😂 44:20 Oh, I think I know the purpose of a split speed bump like that. *_When installed correctly_* the spacing is such that ordinary cars have to slow down for the bump, but city buses' wheels fit in the gaps. 45:00 I can't help but wonder if the USB plug is also wired completely wrong, having AC mains voltage connected to it: At best, it would absolutely nothing. At worst, it sets your phone on fire and electrocutes you! 1:10:15 This is typical Chinese. While they have the same traffic lights as we do, they don't have the overall cultural notion of "green equals good, red equals bad". 1:15:40 lol, Mexico ate Greenland. 1:15:50 Oh my word, I actually had a hotel room a lot like this one, with my boss, when we went to a company Christmas party! Thankfully, the room was shaped such that one person _could_ go sit in an armchair way over in one corner to avoid having a line of sight on the other person doing their business. But still.... 1:21:05 And let's not forget that Tic Tac Toe mildly favours X, but if played properly, it always ends in a draw. Also, in what world does the X player manage to draw 6 Xs while the O player has only drawn four? 1:55:25 I think by "24/7" they meant to say "late-night". 1:56:01 Oh, this webcam reminds me of my electric toothbrush. It's a Philips Sonicare - totally reputable brand, right? Except that the battery/operation light is under opaque white plastic, so the only way you can ever see it is by turning the bathroom light off. 1:57:20 Make going to the bathroom a fun time - slide down the railing and see if you can land on the toilet... only to have to stand right up again to undo your pants. 1:58:20 Nah, in no way are those floor numbers necessary. My local convention center has some weird partial floors, and they just gave them their own numbers. So, like, say, floors 2, 4, and 7 are whole floors; and 3, 5 and 7 are basically just some walkways that overlook the atrium, with the occasional storage closet or washroom. 2:11:53 Something neat I've seen is LED strips embedded in the gate arms of a paid parking lot. So while the arm is closed it's lit up in red, and when it opens, it changes to green. 2:26:20 Oh I think it's possible to make that mistake accidentally with the right software. It's probably possible in some app or other to have text follow a spiral path. And so the designer set up the path, chose the font, pasted in the numbers, and then decided to change the font later but forgot to change the font of the shadows.

I wish that I could post the a picture of the shirt that we had made for my son with his faces on it… it is terrifying… and we love it more for that reason… he was a very intense baby with very intense eyes and there’s about 100 all over the shirt😂

I sat and watched this whole thing. I didn’t realize it was almost 3 hrs long until it was over.
