We watched this to confirm my hubby's suspicion that plastic lids stating "top rack safe" (not only) would likely be fine if washed on either rack in our DBI663IS Asko dishwasher because the heating element is not the same as other brands. You gave a wonderfully informative tutorial highlighting Asko dishwashers. Thank you! We've loved both of ours & was thrilled it was available so quickly, too. We needed an option that was lower cuz our counters were built to the 35.5' height. They're super quiet and efficient. (Living with our own septic and well, it was critical for not using lots of water especially when our 3 kids lived at home, but our home also already was built to accommodate 5 bedrooms and the utility needs well. This water saving feature just gave me extra security.

Just had a 30 Series installed today. I was originally planning to buy a Bosch, but due to supply chain issues, there are none in stock and apparently won't be for 6-12 months, so I had to move on to Plan B. A local appliance store mentioned they had a couple Asko units in stock and claimed Asko was even better than Bosch, but I had barely heard of the brand and wasn't convinced. After watching this extremely well produced video and doing a side-by-side comparison of Asko and Bosch in the showroom, however, I decided to take a chance. With rebate, it actually came in a little cheaper than the equivalent model from Bosch. I don't know yet how well it cleans and dries or whether it will be reliable and last, but the initial build quality is definitely high. It seems like everything that could be made of stainless steel is, and their are several thoughtful design touches. Looking at some of the negative comments here, I'm a little worried, but it's often the most unhappy people who bother to leave comments, so we'll see.

Our first Asko dishwasher lasted 17 years for a family of 5, so well beyond the 10-year expected lifespan. We looked at other brands for our 2nd, but bought another Asko and continue to be grateful we did. It's super quiet.

An amazing product. I’m very impressed so far with my new 50 series. Completely silent, sparkly clean glasses and enjoy the middle rack. I’ve only had mine three months but definitely would recommend

We have had nothing but issues with our two new Askos. They do not drain and stop mid-cycle all the time leaving dishes not washed and water in the basin. We've had a jillion service calls and no one can figure out what is wrong. What is the constant beeping all about on them?

I have had three top-of-the-line ASKO diswashers in two houses and would have a hard time changing to Boash or Miele (although ever other appliance in my houses are Miele). Unlike the comments in the video, the center rack is my go-to for long handled spoons, juice glasses and small pyrex measuring bowls. And, these racks are removable on either side for very tall items like vases. However, my question is about the new unit: DBI786IXXLSSOF. In addition to all of the great ASKO features, it has UV sanitation of the rinse water - a feature NO ONE offers. Will this item be reviewed anytime soon?

Bought an Asko Dishwasher after the recommendations from our electricians. I don’t think I will ever buy one again. Our dishwasher is less than 2 years old and broke down just before Thanksgiving (Nov 19th) and still (Jan5th) trying to get it fixed. They ordered the part once and now they wanted order another part. Still without a dishwasher. Will never buy this brand again

Subzero downgraded their afflictions worth Asso after about a year-now only offer parts inventory -also seemed to have it all-but our purchase was really disappointing-several service calls and hard to get anyone to service them . Kept on leaking. And service tech couldn’t find problem, now maybe thsi si more a tech service thing, but thats still important -if you can’t get service on a dishwasher, you can’t repair it, and all dishwashers will need to get repaired .drying was ok, it was quiet, and did a good job leaning, but I’ve owned 6 kitchen iPads and several ge- we had to replace it with a bargain ge that has been flawless and we don’t hate empty try- we tried, but can’t re commend . I can assure you it was a nightmare getting parts and service. The subzero and wolf network is not that robust-they control their regions tightly and most pair guys won’t/cnat repair get parts. Hence service is expensive and you have to wait.

Hello, the opposite true of this brand regarding reliability and quality. Our DBI675XXL is nearly two years old and has had 4 or 5 service calls, each of which takes months and months for the parts to arrive for a repair, followed up by immediately failing again. Asko has not been willing to replace the entire unit or refund the purchase, however they said they'll happily continue to repair it for the 2 year warranty period. I can't imagine there is any other manufacturer who's building a dishwash that after only 2 years will see a trip to the landfill. We've gotten maybe 1 year of use from this $2000 appliance with zero sympathy or resolution from the manufacturer. Likely the worst decision you can make if deciding to purchase one of these... They're beautiful, but do not work. The brand has been dropped completely from the appliance chain we purchased it from.

My husband bought us an Asko dishwasher recently and it doesn't dry any dishes, hardly washes them, and is meant to be a top brand?! Fairly useless if you ask me. I don't know if there are any dishwasher tablets that work better with this brand but I'd like to find them. Even the crappy dishwasher we had before worked better.

After rinsing my dishes by hand, so they are pretty clean when I put them in to wash, they still come out with grit all over the dishes. I am using cascade liquid detergent. The clean out always has standing water in it. It is only a year and half old and has always had this issue. We have scrubbed the inside, and always keep the rinse in the rinse department. Frustrating.

Ours too... we've owned it for two months and I'm ready to pay the 50% restock fee just to get rid of this thing. It is ridiculous how poorly this thing cleans. Even simple things like coffee rings in a cup don't come off. After two hours, chunks or streaks of food remain on our dishes. Anybody in Phoenix looking for one can come get mine for half price! These are trash.

Have you tried *not* pre-rinsing your dishes? Modern dishwashers have dirt sensors, and if they don't detect any dirt, they'll think the job is done and move on to the rinse cycle. So, pre-rinsing can actually backfire. Definitely scrape off any food from your dishes before putting them in, but don't make them too clean or they might actually come out more dirty!

Motherboard quit at 2 years! 10 month wait for part and a $700 repair. Why would any store carry this brand?
@susanneufeld89892 жыл бұрын
So the plot thickens - it was the control panel Repair was only $640.00. No support from ASKO in telling the repair company that this is commonly happening to these dishwashers so they thought it was the motherboard. I would question the integrity of any store that carries and recommends this brand.

Do NOT recommend. Worked well until door seals started leaking (damaged my hardwood flooring). Replacement gasket kit was 4 weeks delivery and $190.00 CAD. Worst part is they have a terrible door seal design and have four prominent leak points in the water/ splash zone at the bottom of the unit. I will stick to buying moderate priced dishwashers that have decent door sealing systems.
@remi-turcotte3 жыл бұрын
I second that, and disagree STRONGLY with the review, ours is a series 30 silent ( and shitty pricey ) dishwasher that monthly doesn't clean efficiently, and randomly pops F-11 water outlet fault errors, and to top t all, service is pricey, and wont even return MANY calls, despite me keeping a calm, diplomatic and polite tone. Avoid.
@lindajohnson2149 Жыл бұрын
Maybe you had a lemon or perhaps it was installed improperly. Ours lasted 17 years thus buying another was an easy decision.
@sonnyboyde58872 жыл бұрын
Stay away, I had a mouse chew through the hose, it was cheaper to buy a new dishwasher than to get an Asko specialist out to replace it, I tried replacing it myself but they make it nearly impossible for you to take out the old one out. There are no instructions on line or in the manuals. Don’t be fooled by the fancy videos and marketing. I switched to a series 6 Bosch dishwasher, I wish I would have bought this from the start, it’s a much better and quieter dishwasher all round.
