Very nice video! I like your 4 room concept! I garden in France, my home country. In Burgundy, the soil is rocks, rocks and more rocks..Great for grapes, not cool for cottage gardens. I have managed a sweet garden anyway in the last 3 years. The neighbors are a bit shocked by it, or fall in love with it. Since it is MY garden, it will stay as is. You are so right! Your garden, your choice, even if it is celeriac welcoming you on the parking lot..Let them talk! I like your version of a garden! Nice job!

Gardens are always evolving and changing that's the fun of it for me it's a creative outlet my number one priority was to create privacy from a blank slate

Partners leading separate gardens is a great idea, Rich! I am gonna go convince my husband to start a kitchen garden because the flower garden is mine haha. Thank you so much for another insightful video.

There is pla ty of simple but valid points you have covered. Thank you. Planning your garden is hard - we want it to look cohesive and not too hodgepodge. We want many things we cannot afford. So it’s a difficult exercise. No doubt about it!

Great video! Lifelong gardener here, just bought my first house and am establishing a suburban homestead garden. I’m prioritizing the edible garden which is heavily informed by my background in horticulture, eg I’m experimenting with a blackberry espalier against the fence.

I enjoyed this video and your perspective very much. I often plant extra standards if symmetry is important to me so I have extra in case something fails.i have a mix of formal elements and more naturalistic sections in my garden. Are you on instagram as well?
