I'm a developer and I visit your channel when I feel stressed.. It's something about visual hierarchy and tidiness that massages my brain (and ofc learning something)!

When you feel stressed I also have some mindfullness videos here like breathing and meditation 😂 But yeah, adding order to chaos is relaxing for me too ☝️

It's amazing to see this video! It's my first time to see Mike's live redesign. I had questions about how to adjust the color (like increase the brightness) while I was reading your book. Then I saw you did it in the video. Also, learn the trick of using "copy properties". Thanks for doing this! I believe we can enhance our skills from this approach :)

All very quick fixes, tried to fit within 15 minutes for everything so some of the things I did were on autopilot (without thinking 😎)

Can you make video on how to talk with clients and what to do if your English is not that good for video calls. And what stuff to ask for clients for design.

We need more redesign videos like this! If you ever have the inspiration to do redesigns, record something please ;)

It's just a couple of patterns, hope I explained them clearly enough so you can then re-use them in future projects :)

Thanks! I hope to do one redesign a week from now on, as this is likely the easiest way for people to learn :) And obviously some of the choices here are pretty subjective, but I think in general the direction is right.

Why did you switch to HSB to decrease the brightness of the geader at 1:22? Couldnt I just use the color wheel and drag it somewhere I like? Is it because of consistency in colors? What does HSB enable you to do for that?

What sizes do you start out with e.g., starting at the top with the navbar or for a CTA or input field? How do you know what height or width to use?

What I want to know is how (or where) to get those figma files of the website for redesign? Are their available somewhere or I have make them myself?
@MalewiczHype2 жыл бұрын
The files were sent by community members basically - so different people made them and then I made a small redesign :)

Instead of using the spacing helpers, why not use a grid for guidance?

@@kamalCode People are sending their designs all the time, so it's likely I'll get to do an e-commerce one at some point as well :)

What would make these videos incredibly useful is if you'd allow us to follow along by sharing the initial Figma design.
