Part 2? I have an old large rigidbot and was looking how hard it would be to make a core XY. Looks like a terrific start.

Sorry, I never wound up making a pt two. I actually swapped over to linear rails as they provide alot more rigidity, and its currently a test platform for new whacky ideas of mine. Sorry to dissapoint :/

@@LukesLaboratory I was thinking of switching to linear rails too. Merge my rigidbot with Voron parts

@@LukesLaboratory I was originally thinking linear rails, but did you just drill and tap each hole for the linear rails into the beams? I don't think I'd trust myself to be able to keep everything perfectly aligned. I'm looking at your models on Thingiverse now and I think I'm going to give it a shot using as many stock components as possible. It beats just throwing the thing away I guess.

Good lord, the sound that bed makes rolling back and forth had me grinding my teeth. Yikes. Good luck on your corexy system, I built an hypercube from a crappy tronxy X3 that I had to level after each print I took of the bed. I never regretted it.

It only makes the noise when you slide it by hand - it never made it during actual motion. I probably should have cleaned the rails/fiddled with the belts. The rigidbot worked Ok before it broke, just slow! - I hope to not regret this either!
