Designing a Turkey Call in Carbide Create

I have had the ambition of creating a pot turkey call on my @Shapeoko XXL CNC for quite some time, and I finally saw the perfect opportunity. I used some scraps from a walnut cutting board and glued up a 5” blank. In this video, I’ll take you through my process for using Carbide Create to design the pot call.

Nice video. I have made numerous Turkey calls on my Shapeoko CNC. My dimensions are slightly different and I lower the center pedestal to incorporate an internal sound board. Other than that it's the same idea. I like the way you reduced the time to cut. I'm going to have to try that next time. The CNC opens up a whole new level of design possibilities as compared to making them on the lathe.

I have a Shapeoko XXL. I only did one, but I’d imagine it would be pretty easy to batch several at a time.
