Or even more smaller rudders that equal a larger area wjhich is a trick that real ships and planes use when other wise they would need a bigger then rudder then resonalbe.

The Eureka ship helms are a bit silly. They blacklist natural blocks so your ship doesn't take any ground with it. Unfortunately this also means it ignores the stone in your smokestack. It's not a big issue, but to avoid it you could use the Wanderwand and Physics Infuser from clockwork.

The boat doesn't loke those 4 blocks because they are vanilla stone, which is most likely in a blacklist which stops those blocks from being added to the physics entity. You can change it in the config or use those framed blocks which will mimic the stone texture

I believe how ships IRL don't capsize is displacment from their weight cradling them in the water much like how orbits work.... The issue with the mods currently is the complete lack of displacement or any kind so how it works is like a rubber ducky in a bath tub they just float on top of the water not in it. And honestly as the create mod shows MInecraft is capble of insane things that nonone thought it was possible before release. So it's just a matter of time before the mods etheir get good enough displacement or the function of displacement.

Really nice looking design of the flower class, well done mate :D btw solid ballast such as stones or really heavy metals were commonly used in ship keels as solid ballast. Modern ships nowadays have ballast tanks they can fill with sea water to stabilise the ship.

Top heavy ships like sailing ships have keels which are giant metal fins underneath the ship that generally have a lot of mass compared to the rest and thus lower the center of mass. This corvette doesn't have one but that's probably because the weights of the blocks aren't realistic.

Ballast usually fills with water to maintain the ship in the required position(front heavy ship, fills more the back ballast), lower the right balasts to make a right turn to the ship remain stable and more

Holy that's an amazing ship! loved the ending shots really captured the Beauty of the vessel! Next ship should be a ocean exploration ship with tons of equipment for research and exploration including a diving bell since as you said the vents are deep under the ocean, this third time im mentioning it. Really want to see what you can do with such an idea.

Bowthruster is realistic enuff in reality wont work at high speed tho Normal rudder other hand needs speed of the water moving along it, you may be able to fiddle with the numbers in the config file
