After the first 5min I hit the Like button. After the first 15min I added the video to my recent blogpost (about the mindset migrating from a Monolith to the "cloud" -- coder.today). As for experiments, at least in mobile gaming is a known strategy to do ABtests in Australia and Canada, then soft releases then release to US. The first impact I had on clients talking directly to the database was firebase, so simple that it works.

This talk is a great use of your time if you are still thinking through serverless and want to learn without marketing and opinions from a vendor. In short, Watch IT! :)

A little shoutout to ~ 18 min - It's not the best practice to put a web server (like Express.js) in your AWS Lambda. You'd rather use AWS API Gateway for handling REST API, so Lambda can process only the actual event - this way you can save a lot of duration time, reserved memory, your request will start and respond faster. Of course, if your goal is to move your VMs to Lambda in no-time then it's quite okay, but it's should be considered as technical debt.
