I’m looking forward to seeing a Dr Seuss garden! Would you consider a water feature at the beginning of the garden or maybe the end of a path? The sight and sound of water seems to draw people in.

Edgeworthia makes a great Dr. Seuss plant…it branches out 3 ways evenly and as it matures it looks like a geo-ball in winter and as it flowers…and many spring ephemerals …Trillium, jack-in-pulpits, Aquilegia …oh and that giant Impatiens bush with crazy flowers. And of course some weird topiary is a must. And Magnolia lyrata (? the huge leafed one). And you should use a stick marker…u about to pass out

Maybe add a collection of Redbuds. The newer varieties are so stunning and definitely eye catching. 'Whitewater', Flame Thrower', 'Carolina Sweetheart ' 'Ruby Falls, Golden Falls. You already know all of these!! Lol. Wouldn't it be beautiful though?? You could add some sort of Evergreen screen to block those poles and little building up the hill ? DeGroots Spires maybe? So exciting!! Can't wait!!!

Add a large and interesting arch ( something upcycled?) at the entrance of your garden in Wallace. Maybe see if you could get a local artisan to build it..Maybe NC State students and JC Ralston could help design the arch and give some input also. Panther Creek Nursery has some large, amazing topiaries you could add (Dr Seuss 😉). Add an 'H T' block letter sculpture up the hill on the right also. Both the letters and arch could be made from recycled materials too if you wanted. Also you could have a big bug hotel like Ralston has?? Whatever you do will be magnificent I'm sure. 😊

Tons of grown plants are only workable if you own a nursery. Show people how to use natives and keep them walking to see what's around the curve. Formal designs are coming to the end of their time IMO. I'm sure Jim and Stephanie are perfect for this project.

I would consider using a striking, unique evergreen focal to encourage people to walk in and explore the space, but that is under planted (or nearby) which drifts of something that grounds it in the surrounding spaces for cohesion

2:20 two very beefy obelisks flanking either side made out of 4x4 uprights, 10' tall, anchored to the ground, with climbing roses and clematis on each. Everyone knows an entrance to new sections often has a threshold. A little path mixed up "hedging" to create a visual funnel in would be well suited too.

I think that children especially need things to touch, taste and smell. Maybe an edible patch of herbs to get them interested. They are our future gardeners, we need them to keep it going. My 19 year old loves bugs, we plant all sorts of things for the pollinators.

That sounds so beautiful. At the Dallas Arboretum we have a playful fountain at the beginning of what they call Crape Myrtle Alley. The trees have been trained to create a natural arch as you walk under them. At the end is another playful fountain that invites kids to play. His area is wide enough to put a fountain in the middle and then people can enter around the fountain.
