I know that a pet rock might be too normal for a Rock/Normal type, but it was the idea that poppped into my head when I heard that type combination.

Hero's Heart would be absolutely busted in Doubles (and useless in Singles). Just King's Shield to protect it turn one while its partner goes for Explosion or Final Gambit to give it an omni boost and hopefully KO an opposing Pokemon. Or if you predict that your opponent will Protect or ignore Golderro, you can go for a Swords Dance instead.

The exact strategies I was thinking of ;). The way I saw it, if the dondozo tatsugiri strat can exist, than this should be fine. +I think it fits really well narratively that golderro would get an anime power up from its ally sacrificing itself xD
