The games are good... and it's irrespective of DLC.... DLC is literally just because they want to develop more stuff that's almost half a game worth of content.... so they charge extra for it...

I love Galarian Birds. They are more special to me than orginal Bird Trio. But I gotta agree. The first time a saw them I was very disturbed to see regional form of legendary Pokemon. It makes no sense. I played Shield twice. First time my regular playthrough and second time when I bought DLC. I played only with bug types as a Bug Type Gym Leader and Champion. First time I liked the game but it wasn't as good as previous generations. Second time I had wonderful experience. Catching those legendaries, catching more bug types and exploring new areas with new characters was great time. DLC changes experience I have to admit. But honestly... It should be in base version of the game. Scarlet and Violet DLC tho... It was very good story! I have nothing to add what you said. Except. Perrin

I will say how Game Freak do dlc is bad. If you start a new game in both sword/shield and S/V you can jump to the first dlc with no badges. Showing that the first part was for sure cut content. Pay walling features is bad. Some of the features in the second dlc in S/V should not be pay walled like the item printer, the shard charm and the ability to fly your ride mount.

Locking the ability to fly with your mount in the second S/V DLC is a very weird choice. Especially when the ability to fly is such an integral mechanic in open world games.

I don't mind paying for pokemon dlcs, i work for a living after all. I got plenty of money to spare 35 bucks on some dlc each gen.

I don't think that DLC would get such poor reception if the base games themselves weren't so... rough. And that's coming from somebody who's enjoyed Scarlet and Violet since day one. You can tell that, at least in some respects, a ton of care goes into these games. From the unique animations of light Pokemon being carried by the wind to the fact that each one has its own personality - the game is FULL of charm if you look for it. But two years on, it still doesn't run well. More over, they take out unintended exploits like the duplication glitch, while other prevalent bugs still remain. Couple that with the lifeless town and landscapes that pop into place and it's really no surprise that these games left a sour taste in peoples' mouths. It's hard to be excited about DLC for a game when the game itself feels so rushed and broken and incomplete. It's especially bad when taking into account that Pokemon is literally the highest earning franchise ever. Compare it to something like Elden Ring. Not only did it feel like a full game upon release, but it was consistently patched to update performance and remove bugs, as well as better balance the game. People anticipated the DLC for that game because it felt like additional content on a truly complete project - and when it was finally announced, everybody lost their shit! My biggest disappointment with Pokemon is that I see so much potential in them, as a long time fan. I know that love, that passion is in there - but because of pressure to release at a certain time or the fiasco with B2/W2 being so laboriously made to somewhat poor reception, or whatever it may be... They just aren't living up to their full potential. I've spent over three hundred hours combined between Scarlet and Violet. I do love them. But they should have been much, much better.

There is honestly so much I want to say about scarlet and violet. You can tell that there are some people behind it who really put some love into it. These games have easily one of the best climaxes in any mainline pokemon game. But, no matter how good of a game they write on paper, it always seems to be dragged down by the minimal effort and quality put in. You'd be hard pressed to find someone who likes this series more than I which is the reason I rag on em whenever I see stuff like this happen. also 10/10 username B)

90 for a complete game is a thief. the create the worst league to create a good league only for the dlc.the lore was cut only for the dlc,after the game you have nothing to do only buy the dlc. bw2 a third game hahahaha kid fan of pokemon detected😂
