Use jumper plates to mount tracks around corners, however, mils plates and ballast plates look SO MUCH BETTER - do it, do it now!

Maybe use a black or green curtain behind the modelers for the walls of the raised platform. That way you get the hidden look of a tunnel but very easy access for derailments.

You have an extremely small space, especially to fit in trains. If you use Mils plates you can raise the right half of the city using 2nd hand duplo later and 'tunnel' through that, or raise the whole lot and cut the train through to save space with an 'underground' station right at the front.

Best bet to support the platform against the wall is to fit a timber batten (50mm x 25mm) fixed the wall under the whole length of the platform to sit the platform on.

​@@blockpartyukcan't you just go to b&q and get them to cut you a big sheet of MDF that's the correct size you need. Then lay it on top of the tables? Could even nail a small piece of wood underneath it on each side to keep it secure if you wanted

You should Sharpie your address on boxes to make editing easier. Maybe even rip it off or tape over it

Put a 2x1 on the front and back of the tables to make up for your over hang

you just need to L shape shelf brackets for your platform, or if you want to spend alot of money, you could build a massive lego wall 😅to be honest, you could just get a rip of plywood the width of the gap between table and undereside of the platform and screw it to the platform and rest it on the table with the legs on the inside of the train, should be more than strong enoguh if you did that

Very keen to see how this develops. It’s about the sort of space I hope I’ll have when I move some time soon. And I’m building stuff - including MILS plates - before I have so much as a plan! (Technically, my living room could become a LEGO city now if I stopped it being a living room, which it barely is anyway. ☺)

The starter train tracks are surprisingly big. It fills a table - I bought extra track and switches, but they don't fit so I need to put a second table

screw the legs to the timber and it can cantilever and have the supports on the inside of the back track.. and yes a thin timber brace screwed to the wall will solve tipping worries, doesn't have to be full length.. just a few points

Don't forget the length of the nose of the train for going round corners! I mad that mistake and they kept hitting the wall and tunnel 😒
