Not sure when this was put out and not sure if anyone has made this comment but as a watergarden superntendent of new build water features that we install UV's in i just say that your UV needs to be the last bit of sanitation before the water returns to the pond. Good job on the video

Top job that mate. Only thing i did differently is to have a clean water feed to uv ( after filter, just before return to pond ) but my pond is in a south facing garden and in full sun all day, so needs to work fully.

Love the video and you've helped to no end on assisting making my DIY moving bed filter, its gravity fed I guess so the return pipe is above pond water level as you don't have a pump in vortex? Ta Leon

Doin a lil research on a due it myself k1 filter system,why not put the k1 in the first filter box ,isn't it supposed to work like that & what does puting the pomegranate solution in the k-1 air bucket solution first due to the k1? I thought the pomegranate solution was used for sick fish? Good video tho! didnt see before videos, sorry if it's a stupid Q: Don't learn unless you ask...

Very nice video. I keep goldfish so my system is on a much smaller scale as funds are limited.. I want to make a small moving bed filter. I have a 6000 liter pond. I have purchase some Hel-x and a small container that will be part of the filter system. What percentage of the filter media hel'-x do I fill the container? Is it about 50%? Can you please help.as nobody has been able to give me an answer.

So I can’t do it at same level. I thought it could just feed in to the vortex then out through the outlet without issue. There will only be a 12” drop if I did it. Thanks any way

Just found this video, am planning to do exactly the same, where did you get the filter strainer from as makes it look better was just planning on a bit of mesh over outlet, also what size plant pot trays are they as currently using a dustbin lid on my other vortex

Hi Waine thanks for commenting. The filter cage's are very accessible from many koi outlets. The plant pot cover has now has been updated please see other parts to this video. Can't remember the size 400mm maybe. If you just used mesh on the outlet the system would overflow as the k1 would act as a static bed. Hope this helps. 👍🙏⛩️🈂️KC

Hi can I ask what size rubber reducer do you have connected to the outlet of you Eazy Pods? I put a 4” to 3” but it took a lot to tighten it and it bulges.

@@StokeKoiAdventures Hi Neil you get a 3" to 4" with it. Most people change that to suit there requirements and becomes redundant. Nope doesn't overflow, as pods like to be run at slow water speeds e.g 4000-6000lph 👍🙏⛩️🈂️KC

Moving beds clean them self's to only keep good bacteria and not the bad on the k1 or any other media.
