Also I came up with something similar with Fennec some while ago. It was a toy pet and it chose between an arena-exclusive toy and a versus-exclusive toy and a general use toy.

Y'know, if Team Wood allowed workshop support on Steam, making a pack like this a reality would be MUCH easier.

@GroundedSAP That makes sense. Maybe a Northstar-esque client could be created to house servers with custom pets in mind? I mean truthfully, I know just about nothing regarding the backend development of that sort of thing, so I doubt it'd be realistic, as with Titanfall there was next to no actual changes to gameplay implemented alongside the server functionality, but it's a quaint thought nonetheless.

I think the easiest way to implement custom pets would be have some stock pets that are customisable, so just letting the end user pick damage values, trigger types etc rather than invent new ones. Only really makes sense for versus mode but would still be fun.

@@GroundedSAP What was the old one then...? It's kind of confusing when you say at 17:51, "I had to remove the original ability, which we're going to look at now..." and then describe the enemy pet revealing ability which makes it sound like that was the first iteration.

The enemy reveal was the original ability, which was changed into the one from the original tier 5 video. I used original in 2 different senses which was unfortunate 😅
