By detailing out the design with these apps, I think an ID is not needed if one is willing to spend time communicating well with contractors and checking on the work progress. What do you think?

Yes actually I do believe so. I’ve heard of people who design their own homes and just liaise with Contractors directly because they were able to monitor the renovation process closely. Most people hire IDs due to job commitments or just for the hassle free part of renovating, but it comes at additional cost definitely

Yes I feel although we can’t do professional ID standards, but it’ll definitely give us a rough idea of the the home measurements, layout, workflow, and we can plan the appliances and decorative items we will need to buy ☺️

My hub and I are currently planning for our new BTO reno. First time home owners so your video really helps us a lot! We also have cats so we’re planning to make our home more cat-friendly. Love the cat area you designed. We are even thinking about making a cat flap on our room doors hehe. I’m concerned about having in-built carpentry that we might not like after 5-10 years. Gonna be costly to remove also. Cuz designing is one thing, but only after living in it would we be able to tell if we need any improvement to suit our needs. Looking forward to your next video!
