That's why I always say: Aesthetic is important but it must comes after safety, practicality and ease of maintenance. For Singapore climate, I have put those dehumidifier tube at the bottom to warm the wardrobe and shoe cabinets to prevent or cut down mound and it helps. The tube used little electricity but one thing to note is if you want the heat to circulate within the enclosure, youe shelves will need to be perforated or have holes to let the heat passed through.

Hi Rachell, your bathroom after HIP looks so nice! It doesn't look like a standard HIP toilet! How did you make it happened under HIP? Did you arrange privately with the HDB contractor? Did you have to purchase the tiles by yourself? Could you please share more about it? Our house will be going through HIP next year, hope we can learn something from you! Thank you!

We didn't take up the HIP package for our toilet, we engage our contractor instead. HDB contractor only does the waterproofing & test. our contractor does the whole hacking, tiling, etc. (we spent approx 7k for the toilet though..)

We uses Panasonic Cuble washer dryer and it has been working really well for 5 years now. All clothes are dry too!

Undermount sinks will have mold and algae at the joint between the countertop and the sink also (and because it is undermounted it is also hard to get to the joint). The key thing is that the sink and countertop must be one material. I am personally going for integrated vanity cabinet when my BTO comes where the sink itself acts as the countertop so there is no joint for mold and algae to grow.

Hello! we didnt do any after-sales maintenance till date. I think as long as we regularly maintain it (cleaning the insider, use dishwasher cleaner on a monthly/bi-monthly basis), you'll save up on servicing. :)
