Updating as I watch video. I stripped my car to the firewall. I added two layers of noico, neoprene, and 2 lbs. per sq.ft mass loaded vinyl. I did the same thing to all the doors. Inner and outer skin, and the trunk. my door panels themselves are also deadened, and have neoprene on them to prevent any buzzing. I have about 300 lbs of "deadening" in my vehicle. All my wiring is tech-flex'd. Every power and ground for my amps is fused. When using 9 conductor cable ensure you do a continuity check before using. I had a bad cable and it caused loads of problem. If you are fortunate enough to get your midbass, midrange, and tweeters above/on the dash. Do it. A front sub will change everything. Even having a 10" midbass in the doors I still felt it lacking. I removed my glovebox and built an .78cu. enclosure out of 5/8" wooden dowels and kitty hair. I have a 10" GRS in there and it is filled with around a pound of polyfill. It is mounted to the dash skeleton with M6 rivnuts. Don't feel like you have to spend 1000's on your amplifiers. I have 4 US Acoustics Lisa's from Partsexpress at $150 each and two Soundstream Reserve monoblocks I bought for 100 bucks a piece. For 75% of people; buying a 3 way with a crossover that is bi-ampable will work. Then you can use some eq'ing to balance or address freq. peaks and nulls. If you can afford to power each speaker with it's own channel and are willing to do a little work, then raw drivers might be the right choice for you. Some companies to consider. Partsexpress/Madisound/Meniscus Audio. I like sonicelectronix but over the years i have had issues. Crutchfield is more expensive but their customer service and knowledge techs are excellent. cont...

sounds like its going to be an amazing build! yea im a big fan of bi-amping a good coxail, if youre trying for maximum imaging. mostly im not huge on a perfect image, more interested in good rockin loud SQ.

@@CarAudioEnthusiasts It's more or less done as far as fabrication goes. It's one of those where its playing but not complete. I like dynamics and tonality over everything. The car images well and I could put an competition SQ tune on it but I believe it would "loose its teeth" as it were.

I watched your video on single high amp alternator or dual stock alternators earlier today but I couldn’t message you on it for some reason. I already have a dual alternator bracket that I bought right after I bought my Suburban so that I could add a secondary alternator for my system and the plan was to use the stock alternator as intended to run my truck and then add a second high amp alternator for my stereo system. I’m just wondering if I should use a one wire alternator for the secondary or a standard type with the four pin plug ?

if youre going to split the alts up i would use a 1 wire, as having them doing seperate charging duties, would likely confuse the computer.
