For all you good folks using your old military gear i.e., belts, pouches and vests thank you for all you did for our country. Old Carpenters like me will have to make due with our tool belts. Nice video and have fun out there. ;)

George... You could check for some of the things Ron and others talk about at a nearby military surplus if you have one in your area. ;)

I was lucky enough to find 3 pairs of snake gaiters one time at the one surplus store I frequent. After discounts he gives me I think they were $10/ pair so I bought them all. Gave a pair to my brother and keep the extra pair for when someone else comes into snake country with me. I don't wear them as much as I should, but I'm starting to more often.

Great gear round up Ron, you are well prepared, I need to get me some snake boots also. I want to find some type of belt with suspenders built in to spread the weight out even better. With my belly sometimes my belt ends up pulling down on my pants leading to a horrible case of plumbers crack. lol. Hopefully suspenders will keep that from happening and spare anybody around me. lol. Hope your wife's surgery goes well and she has a speedy recovery. GL & HH

go to a military surplus if one nearby and ask for a LCV load carry vest or something in that line that suits you

I have one and your gear can be strapped to it, plus place a few water bottles in the mag pouches. But when bending down, thats a lot of upper chest bulk tho. Still a good idea, hmmm

Thanks Famo, I let a marketing group help me by promoting the channel where ever they promoted it at. The numbers is nice but something feels left out. I love instructing & teaching, or just giving tips that has helped me out.

Great video... my belt kit is very similar although like others here I have added the Alice suspenders...Over here muddy conditions are more a problem than heat so I also carry a small hand towel and a pair of work gloves... these are hung off small snap hooks attached to the grommets off the web belt....

I went with the pistol belt also but added suspenders so it wouldn’t pull my pants down. 😱😱😱

That trx should be your main and throw away the Garrett’s!! The trx only picks up if your pointing straight at it and you can detect targets up to 5 inches in the ground before you dig!!! That carrot and any Garrett could never compare to me!!! They only detect up to 3 inches and that’s when you use the nickel and rubber band cheat!!! Plus they detect down the whole shaft and 360 degrees! So with the trx not only do you get the depth but it saves you time as if it’s beeping it’s right in front of you! I hate putting the Garrett in the hole and it be and inch or two in all directions!

True Kevin. The Trx is good but I haven't worked it that much. I do mainly use the carrot with zlynk. Its just good to have options. Thanks for the comments, I appreciate info from all angles. That's how I learn :)
