The true story of Mr. Abdul Sattar is more interesting than any film or Drama. he belongs to Patiala city. He is a first-hand witness of the events that took place during the partition of India and Pakistan in 1947. He was the sole survivor person in his family. In 1955, he went back to India, crossing the border in the night darkness. He stayed there for 5-years. his autobiography is full of suspense, thrill, sorrows, fantasy, and continuous struggle

He is absolutely right about the violence in Patiala. My family members were also put in that fort with hundreds of other muslims yes they ate leaves of trees over there. My phupi used to narrate how a jamadar came every morning and picked dead bodies and put in a cart. They were kept in Patiala fort till April 1948.
