Wow, I've been trying to figure out who sang this song for almost 20 years. I first heard it on a cassette of William Onyeabor's album Atomic Bomb that I bought in Mali or Cote d'Ivoire back in 2001. For some reason they just shoved it on there as the first track. I'm a little embarrassed at how long it took me to figure out it wasn't the same person as the rest of the tracks. Oddly, it was hearing this song that the cassette seller was dancing to that caused me to buy the album and ended up introducing me to Onyeabor's music... I'm excited to listen to more of Roy C.

Don't blame the man,one of my best from Roy C. I used to jam this album in the late 70's with my sisters and brothers. It was a great hit from Roy by then, and I think is still a great old school album to listen especially if you need something to chill you up.Nice album.

I love this song I actually grew up listening and buying the 45" record as a teenager in the mid seventies . I'll religiously play on my parents record player.. I still have the 45" record and many more at my age 60 yrs old plus ➕ I play them from time to time. Thanks for sharing this.
Reminds me of the music of my parents. Big people’s music. You can learn a lot about real life by just “listening carefully “ to the lyrics.
