March 2024. I'm 65 this year, I've grown up listening to Tom Jones, I probably even watched this performance the first time round. Tom's generation of singers were truly exceptional, they had it all, talent, charisma (Tom still does), they didn't need gimmicks, auto tuning, they worked the clubs, the shows, nothing was handed to them on a plate. . Tom sang with his whole body.....we will never see his like again in today's performers.

When I 1st heard this song,I just didn't want it to end! I play it once a day or night. His voice is like no one else's. It's chilling. Late Ton Jones conceived the twist on Romeo and Juliet with composer, John Donald Robb. He died on the 11th of August, 2023 of cancer in his home in Sharon. I saw him in Vegas in 1991. Had front row seats. We watched his orange makeup melt off! My aunt took me. I was 31 and she was about 75. She leaned over and giggled and said ‘he’s got a cute little ass, doesn’t he?!’
