Yes, this one does have a guitar and mandolin. Home Free will always make it obvious when there are instruments. Chance did amazing on this one!

The beginning was double bass by Chance and Tim.I believe Ubisoft didn’t want completely A Capella so that’s why there’s instruments . Home Free has only used instruments themselves in a couple of their songs Born In The USA and this one all other times are when they a collaborating with someone and the collaborator uses them. Chance wrote this and took lead.Chance loves sea shanties and everything to do with the sea and loves gaming.Ubisoft heard their Sea Shanty Melody and loved it so they approached Home Free with an amazing opportunity to write a shanty for Skull And Bones video game they are releasing soon.iChance being the seafaring member jumped at the opportunity . Chance playing guitar Austin was playing mandolin and Adam with his amazing beatboxing 7 months ago they released a Lyric video and sang a shorter version live at Ubisoft Live Premiere for the game

Chance's great pirate shanty is now a movie -- pass the popcorn! Home Free is now in full costume with a beautiful cinematic video, and singing happily under a female captain! They have, indeed, used a guitar and a mandolin, but Adam is the rest of the orchestra! Shout out to Claire Glassford for her role as the treasure hunting future captain of "Skull and Bones", the video. Great reaction!

Chance has always had a fondness for sea shanties so when Ubisoft wanted Home Free to write them a song for their new game, Ubisoft hit pay dirt. As always, the singing, harmonies & Adam's crazy beatboxing are terrific. This isn't a music video - it's a mini-movie!

This was a commissioned work for Ubisoft for the videogame of the same name, "Skull and Bones", being released this month. 😉👍 That's why it's different and does have obvious instruments (guitar and mandolin).

If there are instruments played you'll see them, although they are rare, usually when they collaborate with others. 🏴☠️☠️❤

There are a handful of Home Free songs with instruments. Most of them are songs where they are collaborating with other musicians, but there are a few Home Free only songs with instruments - like their cover of "Born in the USA" where Chance sings lead and plays a guitar. In "Skull and Bones" Chance is playing guitar and Austin the Mandolin (I think). In Austin's original "Change the World," there are also instruments (keyboard/synthesizer I think). Given their significant repertoire, the number with instruments is quite small.

Chance wrote a banger!!! He wrote this song for the Ubisoft game of the same name. Yes, there are instruments….guitar and mandolin. Adam is doing the drums. Love Tim’s lows and love the lyrics. It’s great! It’s a great video too. Good one DPD! 😍☠☠

Besides the live version at the Ubisoft conference, which is a lot shorter, there are a couple of good fan videos of their premiere of Skull and Bones live in Oslo in 2023.

Wasn't that great! We've been waiting for this official video by Home Free for awhile now. It felt like watching a movie. Home free is so talented & they can do any genre of music. Chance loves sea shanties & he wrote this song for the game "Skull & Bones". His deeper voice sounded great for this song. And of course all the background harmonies of the guys including Adam's fabulous vocal percussion.

When Home Free released their "Sea Shanty Medley" during the lock down and it went viral, the game company Ubisoft saw it and was so impressed by them that they reached out to Home Free and asked if they would be interested in creating an original song for their game (which was in development) Skull and Bones. Of course they jumped on that and their one and only sea shanty enthusiast, Adam Chance stepped up and wrote this master piece. That was double bass at the beginning, Tim and Chance. Ubisoft introduced them and their song at the Summer Game Fest along with the lyric video which is what we had until now. This video incorporates elements of the game into the story depicted in the video. Well worth the wait, love it and your love for and reaction to our boys. What an epic original sea shanty by Chance and Home Free and a great reaction. Looking forward to what they have next for us.

They will always show when they play instruments, which isn't often, but this is for a videogame, so .... anyway, they're cool like that. Thanks for reacting to the guys again!!!!

Finally the deserved video for this awesome song. Of course the video of the game and the live performance was great too, but this video is beyond amazing. Phenomenal how it looks. The Home Free guys as the perfect pirates. Especially Chance. If it were up to me, they could make a whole movie. In any case, I will watch it with 5 of those handsome, cool pirates.🏴☠️💖🥰

See they will show the instruments if they're used. Only didn't. Show the mandolin at the beginning. Everything else is Adam Rupp. This was written by Chance.

This short movie is extraordinary! And I love that Home Free was given this opportunity. It just made sense that Chance would write and “star” in it. It’s quite the production! So glad you enjoyed it too 😃

Those first incredible notes are double bass from Tim and Chance with a bit of bass drone from Adam. This video is like an example of how the game takes a player (the girl) from beginner to becoming Captain of her own ship.
