Ladies of your view are pushing for communism rather than democracy. In democracy you can afford to make mistakes and change again. Just because current government seems to be working does not mean Lagos is getting the best. Also Lagos might not be working for some other people too and they deserve better too. Government does not belong to only one set of people or one set of view and that is the beauty of democracy but if you want communism then that is what Lagos have had since 1999. If only the ladies of your view have a different view, they might be surprised what new faces, new ideas, new energy and new enthusiasm can do to a government. Although it can go either ways too like it happened in UK with Liz Truss but the beauty is you can rectify it quickly with same process not always going back to the same people as if they are the alpha and the omega. That’s the problem. Desmond didn’t become this way on day one. It took him 8 years and the fact he was already a millionaire and a celebrity. Does that mean no other person with such profile can be a representative? How are we sure his strategy is even the best? People get things done differently if given the chance and better in some cases. Lastly the new wave can only be seen as better as it makes existing politicians sit up and be accountable rather than feel entitled.
