some people get very sensitive about going up a dress size. Consultants will probably try and avoid it at first- especially on the wedding day when the bride wants to feel pretty- and see if there are particular labels that will fit in that size. It could cost them a sale if the bride is feeling fat

@@MsJubjubbird Maybe it's just me then. I feel like I didn't have much clothes, if I tried to stick in one size, because the sizes everywhere feel pretty random. I have at least 5 different sizes in my closet right now.

@@soundlessbee yeah oh some people are perfectly reasonable about changing sizes and variations between brands and don't see it as a failing on their part. It's just a random number and I am now like that. But some women are not- I was one of them- and think a clothing size is a badge of honour. I worked in clothing retail for a bit and had a lady throw things at me when I asked very politely if, after she had declared the clothes she was trying on were too small, I could assist by getting the next size up. She was not an isolated case of women insisting they were a particular size and that was it. I guess Lori and Robyn didn't want to take a chance that she might be one of those when it was her wedding day and they had limited time.

Many young American women marry right before their fiancés’ are deployed because sadly if their husband is killed in action she will greatly benefit financially forever and if not just divorce him when he returns. So sad. Feel bad for her fiancé. How could she have an emotional attachment to the dress when she probably doesn’t have an emotional attachment to the groom.
