I invite you to consider the implications of what you are saying. Once you have decided that the voter on the other side in your democracy is NOT a fellow citizen, NOT entitled to their vote, IS a foreign enemy intent upon taking away your vote…certain consequences follow. The first consequence is that you are granted a license not to listen. Nothing your interlocutor actually SAYS about what they care about, what they want , may be considered true. There is no exchange of ideas, the value of free speech is null. Once you have equated conservative voters with that Austrian horror you have nothing more to say TO them. You have only things to say about them. Whether or not those things are true or not may not be determined because you have ended the conversation. This is the contribution that Universities have made to the functioning of civil society. Fastest track possible in the direction of war.
