Nope, it sure couldn’t. As great as the cast is, it’s the writing and brilliance of the inner complexities that I think are most outstanding, and definitely something you don’t see every day. Unfortunately, you may have another niles/Frazier crane, or Bree van de kamp, but it seems like this style of witty, sophisticated writing is no longer appreciated or found 😢

This was probably the first show I started watching... I was like 8, in the first years of elementary school. Now I am 27 years old and living/working in a completely different country but when I come for holiday to visit my family I watch re-runs with my parents because they still show it on TV monday to friday... so much nostalgia. And you are right, there will never be another show like this. This show has been my comfort zone for many many years during my childhood.

It’s interesting to see how at the end of the show the girls became literally the opposite of what they used to be… Gabrielle being an independent woman who can make a living working in what she is passionate about, Susan enjoying her life without the need of being in a relationship, Bree breaking her own believes and fears, and Lynette taking her professional career to the next level…😢❤

I think Bree is the only one that regressed. Edie was a important part for Susan's character during the series, their interactions were so funny and they had their nice moments too even if writers never developed their relationship enough to fully overcome their diferences always falling into a cycle of getting along to then hating each other again and again. But still, Edie was one of the most relevant characters refering to Susan so not seeing her there, watching Susan leave with the other ghosts breaks my heart every time.

After all those years I love to think, that little Lynette Sophie Scavo is raised properly by Porter and Julie. Susan found another love of her life, like Karl and then Mike. Bree has done beautiful things in Kentucky State Legislature for poor ones and those in need and she is finally happy with Trip. Gabrielle is a famous fashion guru with her TV program, in California. Lynette finally achieved success as CEO in Katherine's business with Tom and Paige by her side. Juanita became a pretty and confident girl, like her mother, but without that horrible past. Maynard James became a tough but sweet guy, like his late father, Mike. Renee and Ben are happy in a childless marriage. And most of all, all ladies meet twice a year to talk with each other about anything, but without poker, since they did not have time for that. And Edie with all the ghosts is with them, on their journey of life. Like Mary Alice was on Wisteria Lane.

Notice how their lives all changed for the better once they all left Westeria Lane. I feel like the whole show is a satire and indictment of suburban life.

this show, the whole cast means everything to me... I've learned such profound things through this show, each character is so complex yet simple and weaved together all the characters make a beautiful scarf with different patterns

Man... I've watched this show when it first came out, ar the age of 10. I watched it with my whole family, and never missed an episode... Watched rhe finale with my family. And now I'm 30, and still remember rhis shows values and themes... It shows how timeless this series is and how fantastic it was these characters and stories from our dear Wisteria Lane.

Marc Cherry is incredible. I've always been a big fan of DH ever since 2006. The anecdotes and narration they have on the show is very telling of us and somehow reflects the very messy lives we have And yet, as day passes we are still given a chance to change that.

I remember watching this show from the beginning and being obsessed with every episode and season. And cried when a good character died or when somebody was crying in the show. When Lynette god cancer , when Carl was killed, when Edie died and they did her memory episode , when Gabrielle mom let her be assaulted by her stepdad , when Mary Alice killed herself , when Zack got hooked on drugs, and this last scene around the block. I grew up on this show it was hard to see it go but the women did an amazing job 🩵🩵
