"Putin desperately wants to change the narrative of Russia is beginning to back up in Ukraine. That narrative is destructive for him. He'll have to try to hide it from his own people in Russia."
ATACMS strikes in Ukraine could be the beginning of the end for Putin in Crimea and Russia if the US supplied ATACMS strikes continue, Gen. Philip Breedlove tells Frontline on #timesradio

@@jameskelly8506 You mean Eisenhower? I'm old, but not quite old enough to remember his presidency. But I thought that he is generally considered to have been one of the better of our Presidents. But anyway, just because I like the way Hodges and Breedlove think, doesn't mean I would want them to be President! Nowadays, that would probably mean they'd have to be muzzled like what we hear now. Why, again, can we not send the long-range version of the ATACMS to AFU and why, again, not the F16s. One begins to wonder what kind of game it is.

If any US General had actually won a war I would be more inclined to value their opinion. As it is, their record is one of mediocre middle managers. Yes, they got promoted but from Col on its who you blow not what you know. By the time they have a star they're just errand boys. They take the orders from the Pentagon and relay them to people who do the planning and fighting.

The print and broadcast media have told the public that the conflict is an “unprovoked war” by the Imperialist, Russian aggressor and that “NATO is not involved.” Ukraine’s goals are “defensive”.. There are no “American troops” in Ukraine... The next victory is just around the corner, if only the United States will send more money and advanced weapons..etc..🐂💩 💸 All of these lies have been exposed by the reality of the war! More recently, they've been upended by the release of a trove of leaked information. *"The Pentagon* *Documents,"* describe the degree of direct NATO involvement in the war & the DISASTROUS military situation facing the Ukrainian government! Despite Biden’s declaration that “I will not send American servicemen to fight in Ukraine,” the documents show that more than 150 US and NATO troops are, in fact, deployed in the country and despite endless declarations that the war was “unprovoked” and that “NATO is not involved,” the documents show that US war planners see the efforts by NATO to "encircle" Russia and the operations of Ukrainian troops as a "single campaign!" Among the most pernicious lying has been the effort to distort the military situation in Ukraine, aimed at presenting the Ukrainian military as on the verge of a major strategic breakthrough. This campaign has sought to minimize Ukrainian losses while inflating those of the Russian side, in an effort to justify using more Ukrainian youth as "cannon fodder." *America's Proxy war* *has decimated the land* *and turned Ukraine into* *a graveyard that has* *burned through a* *generation of men!* After 18 months of this confict, it is no longer a question of IF the Western alliance will falter.. but WHEN! Russia now controls 87,000 sq. Kilometers of Ukrainian:territory, including: Crimea, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donbas & Lugansk, which are all part of the RUSSIAN State.. forever! Currently, much of the richest areas and the industrial base of Ukraine, containing key natural resources, gas & oil..etc. are under the occupational control of the Russians! The U.S./NATO are desperate to reverse Ukraine's losses & are using UKRAINIAN'S like "MEAT," for the meat-grinder and in the words of Sen. Lindsey Graham, they will: "fight to the last Ukrainian!" The logistical reality is that America, is in NO position to fight anyone who can fight back.. and a hot war with Russia, is not akin to fighting Arabs in sandals in the deserts of Syria, Iraq or Afghanistan! The U.S. has already proven it's INEPTITUDE, failing miserably in those military campaigns! (Afghanistan.. the latest, tragic debacle) In fact, what many do not realize, is that since 1991, the U.S. has been involved in 215, "unilateral" military interventions overseas...but during that same period of time, Russia was involved in only 5! The U.S. hypocrisy is staggering and yet the irony is that America has the audacity to label Russia as: "The Imperialist aggressors??" The U.S. yet again, has foolishly miscalculated.. but add in the Nuclear dimension & the danger increases exponentially and the sobering truth is that today’s nuclear weapons are much far more powerful & accurate than the Nagasaki & Hiroshima bombs. The largest nuclear weapon in the world is the Russian “Tsar Bomba,” which has a yield of 50 megatons and that produces a sound wave that can travel faster than the speed of sound or "Mach 5!" *That is over 2,000 times more powerful than the Nagasaki bomb...its INSANITY! The interesting thing is that the war itself is forcing Ukraine to robustly tackle internal corruption at every level, as a requirement to join the EU, to ensure military effectiveness and to ensure continuing military aid. Ironically, Putin's disinformation activity aimed at weakening western support (by spreading false narratives about Ukrainian corruption) is therefore actually weakening his influence through corruption inside Ukraine, and other similar counties such as Moldova and Georgia. Recent analysis shows that Ukraine already has lower levels of corruption than Romania had prior to joining the EU.

Ben did get it wrong , but his experience is always great to listen to. He predicted an earlier fall of Russia and didn't take into account the ,quite , astonishing amount of mining during the winter. This drip drip of supply's to Ukraine is designed to wear Russia out with a slow battle of attrition that they can't possibly win. A quick victory would mean Russia had loads more military might undamaged. If anyone feels awkward supporting The USA when they are supporting Israel , remember that what they say in Public about Israel is not necessarily what they actually mean. If you condemn Israel straight off and don't show any support , they will not listen to any calls for restraint.

As far as I understand Ukraine doesn't want to destroy the bridge (yet). It wants to cut Crimea off by forcing the black sea fleet to retreat (done), reconquering the south (in process) to cut off Crimea, deminishing air defence on Crimea(in progress) and then threatening to destroy the bridge, leaving them no option than to retreat using the exact same bridge. Losing Crimea would mean that the "special military operation" was officially a desaster.

True. And kudos to the U.K. for providing so much of their stockpile. IMHO the U.K. understands that as long as Ukraine is fighting & defeating the Russians, the U.K. and the rest of Europe have less worry regarding defending themselves against Putin & the Russians....so it is not as much of a risk to provide Ukraine with good quantities of high-tech equipment, weaponry & munitions. *You cannot be that* *naive..???* 🙄👌 *MORE* *DISINFORMATION, LIES* *& DECEIT..* *DISSEMINATED FROM* *TIMES RADIO!* There are too many government & military *Shills,* who incessantly push this absurd narrative! ⚠ Since February 2022, the American public has been subjected to a ceaseless barrage of *"propaganda"* surrounding the Ukraine war, which has been aimed at drumming up support for US involvement in a brutal, fratricidal military conflict on the other side of the globe. Russia's, "SARMAT ll Hypersonic Missiles," are more advanced and dangerous than most people realize! The U.S. simply does not possess a defense systen capable of preventing those missiles from reaching their targets in Europe, much less within the continental U.S.! Western leader's are Rattling a Sabre they cannot back up.. while their own countries are on the brink of economic & financial DISASTER! This is "American Exceptionalism".. at it's WORST! This war has become a *"SUICIDE MISSION"..* inching humanity closer to Global Thermouclear War!☢🙏

The reason the Ukrainians are fighting so well is because in centuries of being oppressed by their Eastern and Western neighbors, they've never had a real shot at lasting safety, security, and freedom. Not like this. The next most recent change was when the Nazis COULD'VE chosen to use Ukraine's full state and people to build armies and industry but chose instead to oppress them in the way obliged Nazis do. Before that might've been the Russian Civil War, when Poland and Ukraine banded together to protect themselves from the Bolsheviks. It didn't save Ukraine, but it did save Warsaw- Ukrainian forces (pushed out of their country by the advancing Red Army) helped halt a Red Army led **personally** by Stalin. That's why this recent spat between Ukraine and Poland is so bizarre. They are bonded together by hundreds of years of being under the thumb of either the Totalitarian Czars, or the somehow-even-worse Soviets. It makes me wonder if Russia or other malign actors are influencing the two nations to split by somehow exploiting the difference of their two positions- Poland safe in NATO Ukraine... not.

Breedlove says that it would be good for the UK to follow the USA's example and provide long range weapons. Pardon me - but who has been providing Storm Shadow missiles for months? ATACMS is a Johny-Come-Lately. Who is following whom?

Would love to see Generals Breedlove and Hodges have a "conversation" with the like of Scott Ritter and Colonel MacGregor

@@antoniograncino3506 I listen to some extent (as little as I managed) to Chomsky, Mearsheimer and Jeffrey Sachs pro russian views. I do not need to lose my time listening to Scott Ritter the sex offender. I also tried to give some time to MacGregor but gave up after his first sentence. They are perfect vomitives.

Yes, I get the same bilious feeling from all those Kremlinn puppets. You do know that Ritter and MacGregor are on the payroll of Russian state TV ?@@divumque

Breedlove not impressing me much. He's a general who should have expertise and wow us. Any informed outsider could have given the same interview Breedlove has given here. Nothing special.
