Time for some more fun fun fun Despicable Me toy destruction. We'll also look at some real Minions and other Despicable Me 1 & 2 collectables between the toy wrecking chaos. Despicable Me is a computer-animated comedy film franchise that consists of three feature films, six short films, and additional merchandise. Characters are Gru, a super-villain, his yellow-coloured minions, and three orphans, Margo, Edith, and Agnes. Toys associated to Despicable Me are very popular with young children, especially the Minion toys. But sadly there is a dark side of the toy industry which produces sub-standard knock off toys designed to lure buyers by mimicking the real licensed Despicable Me toys. Whats alarming is the amount of clone Despicable Me toys available online and in some stores. As this video illustrates these fake toys present all sorts of dangers and very poorly designed, sometimes breaking as soon as they are unboxed. Sometimes knock off plush Minion's are difficult to identify because the fake Minion's have fake licensing tags and labels.
What makes Despicable Me a curious film franchise is how popular the films have become. Despicable Me (2010) and Despicable Me 2 (2013) have climbed into the top animated film rankings. The upcoming Despicable Me 3 (2017) may add to the mass popularity of the franchise and this will feed more toys onto the market. The knock off toy makers will always pounce on anything popular with children. Obviously those crazy Minions are provide the perfect toy to copy and clone due to the appeal to the very young. Thats how the dark side toys work.
In this dark side episode we pick up on the Minion on fire (scary results), Lovely baby Minion aimed at very young children, Minion bubble mix and wand, Minion Stuart and Dave I LOVE YOU light up key chains, various Despicable Me 2 character packs of assorted Minions and Gru, study of some real Despicable Me 1 & 2 toy merchandise (amazing at how it holds it's high price), McDonalds Happy Meal toy Despicable Me collection (this theme was very popular) and the amazing toy crusher which shows us some material science as we see the Despicable Me toys and a clone Thomas The Tank get destroyed. In all it's fun fun fun looking over these very despicable knock off toys. Episode one became a split episode because it was over 40 mins long, so there is some carry over destruction in this second episode.
In no way can I endorse these knock off toys seen in this video, they are low quality and often have small parts which easily break away.
