They should’ve had all the past villains team up against Gru and the minions (kinda like how Regular Show did in Exit 9B) cause it would actually justify the need for the Mega Minions being relevant and they could’ve had an endgame like climax where all the minions fight the past villains and Gru faces off against Vector one last time also they really should’ve had the girls age and becoming more distant as most Kids do when they’re older from Gru and Lucy while they try to bond with them more as Parents do when their children seemingly become more distant

Tbh Maxime Le Mal wasn't necessarily a bad villain himself, as when he was onscreen he was rather entertaining, aswell as being shown to be a formidable threat at the beginning, and Will Ferrell nailed his performance. He was just incredibly underutilised, as the whole movie revolved around Gru and his family having to hide from him, aswell as changing their identities and getting new jobs, giving Gru and Maxime very little interaction throughout the film, aswell as the Gru's adapting to their new life and the Whole "Poppy forming an alliance with Gru to Break into the Villain School" Subplot taking up alot of the screentime, with Maxime's plot taking a back seat, Aswell as his army of Hyper-intelligent Cockroaches doing very little throughout the Film. So in reality, Maxime was a potentially brilliant villain who was held back by the multiple other subplots, of which ended up with him being sidelined.

I like your idea, but what would you think of another idea but this time it's about literally one of the most underutilized characters in these follow up sequels in which that would be Gru's daughters/the Gorls. ((If you can find time to reply to this comment on this idea, that would be nice and much appreciated ^^)). And the film idea I had in mind was an origin/prequel film showing how their parents died and how they got placed in Miss Hatties. And also the movie can also be similar to the Powerpuff Girls Movie. It can start out showing flashbacks of how the girls lost their parents, how they met, and how they all got placed into the orphanage together. Then in the present time, it can show the Girls trying to fit in with their peers and getting to know everyone to and the environment around them....and afterwards Miss Hattie can send them on their very first mission to sell cookies(as seen from the first Despicable Me movie) and while they are selling cookies, there could be a scene of the girls(Margo and Edith especially) walking around and feeling some jealousy and sadness at seeing random kids walking around with their parents, and during this scene they can also bump into the main antagonist and villain of this movie, but the villain is in a disguise and as they bump into the villain, he can scold the girls for bumping into him and causing him to drop this very important invention/device of his(that coincidentally looks similar to Agnes' stuffed unicorn toy) and while Margo apologizes for the mistake(with Edith ofcourse glaring at the guy while Agnes unknowingly picks up the invention), the villain will then pick up Agnes' stuffed unicorn by mistake and will go on about his day for the moment. Afterward, the girls resume selling cookies to the fellow neighbors in the neighborhood. After that once night time falls, the Girls head back to the orphanage as Miss Hattie checks to see their progress but she ultimately gets disappointed in the girls, when she finds out that they didn't exactly sell the amount of cookies that she wanted and can scold them. After that, we can then have a bonding scene between the girls as they are watching TV late at night, in which can be a good opportunity for characterization and bonding, and there can even be a funny moment thrown in where they obliviously and unknowingly watch a news report about the villain(in their real disguise) as they are flipping through channels to watch before Agnes gets distracted by a unicorn show playing on TV. And after that, in the next day the girls will continue to sell cookies and while they are selling cookies, some chaos can kick in when Agnes is playing with the invention that looks similar to her unicorn toy as she accidentally activates a feature on it that causes the toy to transform into jetpack and as the invention turned jetpack is then activated, the girls notice and hear Agnes freaking out and they quickly rush to her aid to try and get the jetpack off of her, but while doing this, Margo and Edith also accidentally enable additional features on the jetpack such as weapons and blasters but then grab onto Agnes' legs to also help her but it's too late as the invention that takes off and flies all three of them into the air as they are grabbing and latching onto Agnes' legs. And with this happening, the invention can fire its blasters at cars, buildings and other things, causing ALOT of property damage in the process, along with the police chasing after the girls and innocent bystanders running off and freaking out. The police chase the girls, until the girls then crash into a hotdog cart or inside of a building. (And also while this is happening, the villain that they ran into earlier can witness this happening to as he is strolling on the street and notices the girls have his invention, and he'll then find out that he has Agnes' stuffed unicorn toy). And after the girls, get up and see what they have caused, EVERYONE will began to hate them and yell, rant and rave at them for the accidental property damage that they caused to the city. Next after that the police drives the girls home back to Miss Hattie's orphanage and Miss Hattie herself, along with the other orphans will be pissed at them to and will also began to shun them for their actions. And as punishment, Miss Hattie puts them in the Box of Shame(just like in the first Despicable Me movie). Once the girls feel unwanted and shunned by everyone, they will then sneak out of the orphanage, take their belongings with them and will run away but once they are gone and later on Miss Hattie will find out that they escaped and will call the police to go looking for them. And while the Girls are on the run, they will see newspapers and a news broadcast about what they did in the city, along with people getting interviewed calling them "threats to society" "troublemakers" "criminals" and "felons". And at seeing all of this, this will make the girls feel bad even more as it then begins to rain and the girls walk on the streets late at night while it begins to rain, then along the walk they'll run into some crooks that are about to beat them up, when the villain of the movie(in his real identity) returns and saves the Girls' lives. And upon the villain saving their lives, the girls thank him while he tries to brush them off and tells them to go away but when they insist on returning the favor, the villain can then give them a fake sob story about "feeling like a threat to society" to as a way to earn their trust and can then unofficially adopt them and can fake calling them his "daughters" and afterward, he can then manipulate the girls into stealing secret and important stuff for his invention to destroy the city, as the girls then go on a whole wild goose chase to top secret bases to steal the stuff that the villain wants. And later on in the film during the final battle or the climax, the girls will ofcourse eventually find out that they've been used, and when everyone in the city finds out that they were involved in his invention being created, they'll hate them even MORE. But when the girls become motivated enough to defeat the villain, they'll then defeat him, and win everyone's respect back, even their orphan peers. And in the ending of the film, Miss Hattie will lift the girls' punishment because they saved the world, and we can get a reanimated version of the scene from the first movie where the girls get adopted by Gru, leading up to the events of the first Despicable Me film.

Tbh I wanted the movie to play out with vector ( spoiler up ahead for the mooned short film) Somehow escaping mars. Maybe kidnapping one of those aliens and forcing it to take him back to earth. Maybe some malfunction happens and he lands somewhere near his now decaying fortress. I don’t feel like really going on for hours about my idea but yeah, overall I thought it would’ve been more interesting if vector somehow got back to earth and goes on his revenge arc. A 5th installment would be perfect for an all out prison breakout with all the villains and it’ll be the avl + gru, dru, Lucy vs all the villains.

In my opinion I think if scarlet passed in jail would had driven herb crazy for revenge would had made the plot more better and meaningful cause herb could really use a movie as a main villain

that might seem like a good idea but first vengence is not family-friendly or wholesome that the franchise is good at, and second herb is more of a filler character, people like scarlet much more. Might be better the other way around

I feel,like they wmated to make the villain more serious (given the first scene had him make Gru bleed) but the comedic scenes with him jsut weren’t funny. They tried doing a serious Villain with comedic traits and it just didn’t work

It actually isn’t that bad. It’s a kids movie. I find it to be the best but that’s my personal opinion.
