Agreed; they were actually funny the first time around, or they wouldn't have been marketed into oblivion in the first place. The bit just got old fast.
@SpaceCase17017 ай бұрын
Honestly same. They were comparatively restrained comedic relief in the first movie and not used as heavily so it didn't get overwhelming. But they got popular outside of the movie and after DM2 the writers just quickly overdid it.

They were popular in the begining but they got over exposed. I still like them but I get how people got sick of them
@tsifirakiehl42505 ай бұрын
Yeah, they worked as comic relief sidekicks in this movie. The problem came when the executives decided they could carry films on their own, which they can’t.

I was about 19 when this movie came out and a smoking buddy of mine gave me the DVD for my birthday. This was a guy who listened to death metal and was super into that scene and lifestyle so I was very confused. He saw the look on my face and just said "Trust me, it's good and not just for kids" . The dude was 100% correct. Instant classic. I actually didn't even know who did the voice for Gru until about halfway thru because his accent is really well done ~

I can't explain it, but I love The Minions movie. As someone adopted in the old days, no records, no trace, this movie makes me really twitchy. I have a lot of friends whose parents genuinely hated all children, including their own kids. That theme is real.

They didn't like Matilda because she was willing to call out her dad's shady dealership business and they didn't like the idea of her engaging her mind. The most responsible thing they ever did was allow Ms. Honey to adopt her at the end of the movie.

It's implied gru not only wants to steal the moon to make his mom stop being like he's a dissapointment But it's also an evolution of his childhood dream from landing on the moon to taking it But at the end he found something better That's why he is looking at the moon in the ending PD the trailer for this movie suggests Gru is the number 1 supervillain then vector becomes number 1 afterwards in the trailer Gru lore is weird
