I remember when they announced their split at the start of 2010, saying they had other proyects and families, but the breakup felt it was in good terms, they had all the intentions to end it with a bang, and that is what they did. They did not cancel any pending shows, in fact they added over a dozen more over the world, not just North America, ending with a major one at their hometown. I personally didn't believe they were breaking up, and if i did, i knew they'd be back eventually, and they did. The chemistry between all their members and ex members is what sets them apart from other bands from the subgenre.

This was a band that only real metal lovers could like: The "true metalheads" saw the label "deathcore" + their outfit, and said straight up they didnt like the band, and most deathcore kids that like bands like emmure didnt like Despised because their music is a lot more technical, brilliant, brutal and didnt sound exactly the same all the time. This band spawned a genre of metal in which most bands after them couldnt compete with their talent. They were severely underrated. RIP DI TABARNAK!

My first time ever going to a show was when I got to see these guys back at Soma in San Diego, CA of 2009. It was during this same final tour before they broke up for the first time but for the USA. My high school ass was scared shitless but was amazed at the whole thing. Being able to experience both the Hardcore and Metal scene as my first show is an experience I'll never forget. Haven't been to a show with so much circle pits and mfs throwing down during a breakdown combined ever since.

hey guys. we all know these guys are back and I am one of the happiest people around hearing that news. but can anyone confirm to me the style these guys bring especially the vocalists? with the way they dress and all, is it beat down? I mean I heard and seen bands like Terror and No turning back perform live and in terms of the attire,pretty similar. I'm just trying to understand it more. what's the sense of loving something you don't understand. I could go do research on wiki but then again, not all u read on the internet is the real deal. I'd rather hear from Pepe with experience with the actual culture. I've been in the HC culture as well the extreme Metal culture for a long time but that doesn't really mean anything since this type of music is CONSTANTLY evolving and lots of hybrids form day in day out. please share your views.
