Profits before the Security of our Country!!!! GREED, GREED, GREED!

What are you talking about? Profits are your only security left. China has been investing all the money they made from America back into America. If the country goes belly up, all their money goes up in smoke. Greed is good.

This ain’t right. The man spoke facts. I am not fan of having a Chinese owned company near the air force base due to the nature of the mission at the base. Spying and cyber attacks may come from this company in the future

My daughters house was broken into , keys copied, car stolen over and over again and dryer started on fire and fire started in her oven while she was gone out of her house and when my daughter told the fire department what was going on the said they couldn’t write that down because that would be dangerous THEN EVERY PART IF YIUR SYSTEM HERE IS EVIL AND AFRAID OF SOMEONE OR SOMETHING. THEY EVIDENTLY ARE AFTSID OF LOSING THEIR PAYCHECK OR EVEN WORSE THE THREAT IF BEING KILLED BY THE CARTEL WHO IS IN CHARGE OF THIS CITY AND BEING THROWN IN THE RIVER.

Residents build your own cooperative plant. There is plenty of venture capital at hand. It should be of little trouble acquiring $500 million with a proper business plan. Recruiting good employees will be more of a challenge than raising the funds.

Public comment is a vital part of every level of government! Unfortunately, the gentleman in this video seems to not understand the process. It's obvious he is unhappy with the decision and he certainly has the right to give his opinions, but the threats he spouted have zero place in an intelligent discussion of the process. His passion regarding the proposal is obvious as well. The chair person, in my opinion, managed this in the best way possible, given the circumstances. I'm not disputing the idea that a foreign entity may not be the best Tennant, with that, I agree! It's just unfortunate that the gentleman speaking to the committee came in upset and tried to change the process of annexation by arguing about a foreign country. I have no way of knowing if this man attended previous meetings regarding the proposal, yet I suspect he hadn't. Having chaired these types of meetings for years, I can understand his compassion and even agree with his point regarding a potential threat to site security! Nevertheless, denying anyone that proposed an acceptable use of the property to purchase said property would only result in years of legal wrangling to which the city would be forced to spend millions of dollars trying to defend and ultimately end up probably paying the legal costs for a defendant bringing the suit against the city. If the proposed use is allowed, it legally doesn't matter who the property purchaser is, the fact remains the proposed use is allowed. Bill

Hey Bill, I hate to be the one to inform you, but your attitude and outlook, and those like you, are the main reason America is in this position we’re in as a whole. If you can’t see the danger in allowing a sworn enemy foreign country coming in next to our Air Force Base and next to Canada, friend of China’s, then no one can help you. I applaud this gentleman. He was conveying and relaying the towns feelings and emotions, did you not hear the clapping, cheering, and gratitude that someone was standing up for them? It amazes me how we Americans have allowed “elected” officials to run roughshod over what the American people actually want. The federal govt is one thing but when you see this on a local level and the disregard and lack of respect for your own town people who are paid off your taxes, it can be beyond infuriating. Did you not hear they were giving the Chinese 82 million, and they were only putting up 14 million? How much of that money do you think was kicked back to those “elected officials” pockets? Such a disgrace. Just to let you know I love Asian people and I believe them to be a beautiful mannered and wonderful people, but you just don’t do this with a foreign country right next to our Air Force Base. This decision affects all Americans and is a national security risk. Air Force Veteran

@@stephenoneill2931 Thank You for your service! It really is infuriating that tax credits are given to businesses! And I understand that there were supporters of the speaker in the meeting... However, as this was a local meeting deciding a local issue, what standing did the gentleman have actually providing input at that meeting? He stated that he drove over 300 miles to attend.... While that's laudable, it's not his tax money at issue. Had this been a State panel deciding a State issue, clearly he would have standing. I'm also confused about the "Chinese Government" issue. Because the plant is going to be built by a Chinese company doesn't necessarily mean the Chinese Government will have a hand in the facility! Certainly if it's true that the Chinese Government is operating this plant there would be concern. But would there be any less concern if for example the company building this was, say Swiss or even Canadian? Even a private home that borders a United States military facility could Potentially be a threat to security! One never knows who's looking and for what reason... Policies and procedures are in place to shield military secrets from prying eyes and ears... And given satellite technology, does any "government" need to have a physical structure adjacent to something to actually watch it? You make several great points and it's clear that you're passionate about this!
